The group was polite but totally inexperienced in packing and loading the truck. Furniture was packed unwrapped and unprotected eventhough 96 moving blankets were provided. Mattresses were packed without protective plastic wraps eventhough 1,200 feet of plastic wrap and blankets were provided. Will not reco.mend this group to anyone!!!

The packing team was aces. I saved the review until the pod arrived just to note how brilliantly they did to get things set up safely and intact in one piece.
That said, major feedback- one mover brought his own dolly, and you provide these folks with not even basic tools. Consider even equipping them with basic rudimentary items that need not be fancy and they can move literal mountains!

Both movers were incredibly professional and took very good care of my items. They got a couch into my apartment that I didn’t even think was going to fit. Top notch service especially for the price. Use them if you care about your furniture.

2 movers showed up at 9am, 2 movers showed up at 10am. Ended up paying for an extra hour.
Big Boy Movers consisted of 1 adult and 3 high school kids, not professional movers.
Towards the end was told they weren’t going to fit everything. The adult admitted to packing the first POD incorrectly. We had to rent a U-Haul and store the remaining items at a friend’s house. Ended up having to abandon 2 items at the house.
Last POD was horribly packed because time was running out. Lamps just put on top of furniture loose. Furniture not wrapped and stacked on top of each other. They broke a table and said “That’s what the liability insurance is for.”
Very disappointed! Would not use them again.

Ford, Ezekiel, and Carson were fabulous. They assessed the whole house of furniture and boxes we had packed and started the puzzle to load the trailer soon after arrival. They were extremely courteous and we had some nice conversations. I would give them a 5 star review! I was pleased they took some time when done to eat some food we had for them and get hydrated as well. They were most appreciative and we were as well.

Big Boy Movers are the real deal.
I asked for 3 workers, & asked that one of them was experienced with packing dishes/glassware. I had the boxes, paper, blankets, & plastic wrap ready for them.
They answered questions for me before the move about city permits needed and about how much packing materials to buy. They arrived on time and ready to work, packed up all the contents of my house carefully , loaded into the moving POD, and out the door in less than 3 hours.
Rate for 3 workers, 2 hour minimum $450

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
The customer can expect to receive a text confirming the date and time of the job. Through this communication they can also add any additional information that might be helpful such as: heavy items, long walks, specialty items, parking arrangements, etc.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will be on-site within the arrival window given. They will then do a walkthrough of the premises in order to strategize best practices for your individual relocation. They will then go over paperwork and begin the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Any prep the customer does on their end will quicken the move saving the movers time and, in effect, the customer money. Prep may include: breaking down beds, emptying drawers, clearing a walkway throughout the house, etc. Of course if these things are not done before hand, the workers will willingly do them when they arrive.
What types of moves have you handled?
After so many years in the industry there is nothing we haven't seen. We've done something so small as moving a couple of pieces of furniture to another room to relocating five thousand pound printing presses across town. We've relocated customers from California to Maine and everywhere in between. We can provide packing materials, packing services, loading services, transportation, unloading services, and unpacking services. In short there's nothing we can't do in this industry.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The bet part of the job is seeing the relief in the customers' faces when they see that they don't have to move anything or stress about someone else moving their possessions. it always makes me smile when they visibly relax. Moving doesn't have to be stressful.
What training do you provide your crew members?
The onboarding process for our movers is extensive. Probably the part I like the best about our company is that 100% of our workers are referrals from workers we already have. That means the guys we hire are already vetted by our own employees who would never want to work with someone unreliable or lazy. In fact when we interview a person we already know what kind of work ethic and character he or she has after talking to the person that referred the potential worker. Our workers are as good as it gets.
