Fantastic! Carlos and Daniel were so kind, on time, and efficient. They were so careful with my boxes and helped me set things up just where I wanted them. My building wasn’t the easiest to move things in but they didn’t complain and made the process so smooth! I’d highly recommend.

the workers did not show up wearing masks. they did not know to load the large items first and therefore, we did not get all our furniture in the pod.

The work crew arrived on time and got right to work... they worked hard and seemed to do a great job protecting my belongings. They finished within the estimated time and were very professional. We were shocked at how quickly they got everything loaded into our containers. Great work!

These two men started right when they arrived and did not stop until their 4.5 hours were up. Very polite and quiet, they did just what we asked
and wrapped everything to protect our items. Would not hesitate to hire them again. Also the extra half hour was reasonable.

Ivan and his team were amazing. They were courteous, efficient and thorough. They worked around my disorganization as I was still packing when they arrived.
I really trust how they packed my stuff into the Pod. He also even helped me bring down an Ikea curtain system, which I didn't have tools for.

Booked Lucky Movers and confirmed several times with Ivan. On our move day - other movers showed up saying that Ivan had a "bigger and better" job that day. No notice from Lucky Movers or Hire A Helper. Upon arrival, the mover, Carlos had NO MASK ON - when I asked if he had been vaccinated, he hesitated and said yes. I said if he hadn't been vaccinated I wanted him and helper to wear a mask = he said maybe it was better if they did. He was totally lying about being vaccinated.
These two guys barely spoke English and could not understand simple instructions.
Here is how the day went. We are remodeling our house and moving to the rear unit of our duplex - approx. 100 feet away. All we needed was 2 guys to move belongings to either the back unit or the storage container in the driveway - and these 2 guys couldn't figure that out. I walked thru both properties with Carlos explaining that things were marked as to where they were to go - he constantly had to be retold where things belonged. We live in a 2 bedroom/900 sq. foot house and it took 5 hours to finish about 75% of the moving job. I finally got rid of them at that point and called a friend to come over and assist with finishing up some tasks
1. I told Carlos 6 times and my husband told him several times, that the back door had to be removed to get the refrigerator out of the house, but they tried to do it without removing the door and took 75 to get the refrigerator unstuck from the back doorway. This was after my husband removed the doors off the refrigerator because they couldn't figure it out. Once they got the frig in the back unit they refused to put the doors back on the frig because my husband was the one to remove them - so my frig sat in parts for over 3 hours with my food going bad.
2. I have damaged furniture from them hitting the walls and doorways along with grease stains on my couch and chairs coming off the dolly they used.
3. About 3 hours into the job, Carlos asked if we were done? The entire living room's furniture, TV, etc. were still sitting there. I told him the furniture had to be moved into the back house and he said he thought we were moving those items ourselves? WTH - like I said - these guys had no idea of what they were doing. I could have hired 2 guys from the Home Depot parking lot with more experience.
I could go on about other issues but I think you get the point of my complaints. THESE GUYS WERE HORRIBLE!! And to top it all off they offered to do our move back after the remodel for half the price of Lucky Movers or Hire A Helper.
Beware of this bait and switch - I will never book thru Hire A Helper again

Expect us to come on time, be fully prepared and fully equipped on your moving day. We might give you a call upon our arrival to confirm the arrival time. Expect courteous and professional work by our movers.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure to prepare a few moving blankets and may be a plastic bag for your matress. We will deliver the rest for your move.
What types of moves have you handled?
Currently we handle local and long distance moves going as far as 300 miles
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
It's meeting new people every day and seeing new places. Some workout is also big plus.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We train our movers to be precisly polite and respectful to the customer's household and its belongings. New members learn at first how to wrap and protect and handle the things. Maneuvering and moving large furniture skills next. We train our movers how to pack a pod or truck like playing the tetris game.
