They came on time and were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They took care of all my belongings and asked questions when needed. They were hardworking and dependable. I will be using them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone. A job well done!

I found Prince Asong’s moving company to be extremely accommodating. We were facing moving challenges that caused the job to go much longer than expected. However, they worked tirelessly to satisfy my needs. Thank you so much!

The 2 movers were great the day of my move. They were careful with my things, able to lift heavier items, and good at fitting them up a tight stairwell.
However, I didn’t like the overall business organization overall. After they confirmed my booking through Hire-a-Helper they did not reach out to me. I wanted everything to go smoothly the day of so I sent them an email a week in advance full of details and instructions that would have greatly expedited things, including asking them if they wanted pictures of the connections of the only 2 pieces of furniture that needed to be taken apart so they would for certain have the correct tools. No one responded. Because of this it took them significantly more time than it should have to complete the move. I had a very small apartment worth of things so 1 hour to load and 1 hour to unload should have been enough. I wasn’t particularly happy since I figured that it would cost me more money when I had taken measures to prevent such delays.
When they completed the move the owner called me to tell me I owed more money and I said that it was fine and it could be invoiced the same way as my initial payment was through Hire-a-helper. Throughout the entire conversation there were children screaming and an incessant beeping in the background that made it impossible to hear what he was trying to tell me. He was trying to tell me I needed to add the extra money as a tip and when I didn’t understand and hit the wrong button and could no longer do it that way he told me I could send it over Zelle. I felt like it was shady but I wasn’t able to have a clear conversation over all the background noise and wanted to be done with it. So I paid them the extra $300 over Zelle feeling like it was a mistake. I also have no idea where the number $300 came from. The rate is $120/hour and they were not over 2hrs extra. It was 1hr at most. The movers themselves were great but I feel like I got scammed at the end.

Let me be clear: The movers were great, friendly, and very good at their job. They could move very heavy and large items with ease and fit them through very small spaces. Movers: 5/5 stars.
This lower rating is a review of the owner of the business. I paid for 3 movers and 3 hours. To my surprise, with no warning, 2 movers showed up. Also the move was put off almost 3 hours due to “rain” where the owner was, but it wasn’t raining UNTIL they arrived where the items actually had to be picked up.
The move ended up taking 2 extra hours. No big deal, it was a challenging move. But the owner starts harassing me with calls as soon as the move ends. Trying to charge me for not 2 but 3 extra hours, and at a rate of 3 movers instead of 2. He then lies about the rate for 2 movers and tries to over charge for that. Then he claimed the truck+3 movers fee was the same as truck+2 movers. I also explained I paid for 3 hours at a 3 mover rate and would be deducting that from the overall bill. As he got more and more frustrated with me and kept trying to con me, I hung up and called hire a helper to intervene. Suddenly, my bill was about ~$300 cheaper.
Again:
Movers 5/5
Owner 2-3/5
I’d recommend them for a move for sure. but be careful of shady business practices by the owner.

Hello, the people who came to help me move were polite and on time, however it took them 3 additional hours and 17 minutes to move that I had to pay for. What if I didn't have the money in my account? My items would have been stranded. I know that they wanted extra money, but that wasn't funny and it should not have happened at my expense. They arrived with a little moving truck and no supplies to move the items but themselves. They had a small hand truck and I had to let them use shopping carts to move all of my bags. I didn't use boxes to save space and time so all they had were bags. If I had used boxes their truck would not have been big enough, which I think they did intentional, but I hope not. Before they arrived I broke my bed down in 2 pieces so they could move it easier and faster and they tried to spend time breaking it all the way down into little parts, but I said no. The shift was 9am-11am and they did not finish until 2:17pm. At 1 pm I closed the account and left a $50 tip. Their boss then calls me and then calls the billing side while I'm on the phone and tells them to charge my card or he's going to tell his workers to dump my items on the side of the road. They definitely breached their contract and unfortunately I won't be able to utilize these services anymore.
1) the seized of the truck:
The seized of the truck we brought was then seized you selected on the contract when you booked your appointment. You requested for a 17ft truck and we brought the 17ft. Check your contract again you will see the seized you requested there. It simply means that when you selected 17ft (because it was cheaper) you had in your mind that we will bring a bigger truck. No it doesn't work that way ma'am.
2). Work equipment/tools:
The only equipment we provide are; a truck (only the seized you requested and pay for), handtruck (which you have confirmed movers had), dolly, blankets and shrink wrap, strapped and ropes. Each of our trucks have those and they are also on our tools section. We only provided packing materials on demand. You did request for packing. You book for moving only. Again check your contract and see what it says.
3). Additionally time:
As you mentioned you expected that it will take 2hrs for two movers to complete a bedroom, living room, kitchen, with a bunch of different stuff packed up in the room. Mrs Lauren, it's not physically possible to have finished all that in just 2hrs. You practically under estimated the job. Please next time, even if you don't want to use my company, I strongly advise you to consult with an experienced movers be estimating the hours it will take. Example, one mistake you made hoping you it to take less time, you used trash bags instead of boxes ??. On the contrary, it's easier and faster to move boxes ?? than trash bags. But you use bags Instead of boxes, to you it would take less time. No, it's easier to stack boxes and move them with a dolly and handtruck than to stack trash bags. Hope you learn something today.
4). "We wanted more money":
No, you are wrong. Instead because of your wrong time estimate we went to our next customer last and closed last that day. We charge hourly and our hourly rate is same for all customers. It's a busy moving season with a lot of demand and our movers are aware of the importance of time. They don't have any reason to delay your time just to charge your more, plus they don't even have anything to do with hour customers are charge.
You also confirmed that they were very respectful and nice, and arrived on time. Yes!! That is exactly who we are. We make moving less stressful.
5). Breakdown your bedroom ...
Our policy is caring. We protect our customer's home and stuff as we would our grandmother. Anything that we see that it will scratche the floor or wall will Breakdown just to reduce the probability of it being damaged or damaging something else. Unless otherwise stated by the customer, who takes responsibility for damages if any. You can read our reviews. You will hardly see any damages. Things beyond our control happens and when it does we take measures to address them appropriately.
Again we know the economy is hard and we are doing everything we can to help our customers save money, and also make moving less stressful and lively.
I have you learn something and will be able to change your mind and use us again. If you do please be sure that we will as professional as possible and not necessary work with your expectations but with what the job professionally entitle. And if you still don't want to use my company again that is fine. I understand, I will still wish have best service
