These were some whiny children. Nothing I was having them move actually qualified as a "heavy item" reason I know is 1- this stuff has been moved numerous times by me, my senior citizen father, and other Hire a Helper contractors. But you get these kids in here and my 4 foot cedar hope chest that contained 2 yearbooks, maybe 6 items of clothing most of it baby clothes and pictures and papers somehow weighed over 300 lbs, by their "guess-timation". Oh and the sofa bed that I asked them to put out at the curb for trash was "too heavy" .
Now let's talk about the fact that I hired 3 helpers for 3 hours... tell me why it took them every second pf those 3 hours to put a few furniture items and some boxes into a 16ft pack-rat trailer ( oh and, the stuff only fills like half the trailer.
My prior hired helper experiences I had 2 guys for 3 hours i had way more furniture and appliances, but it only took them 2 hours. And the last 15 minutes they were asking if they could help sweep or clean-up...
**I would also like to add that #1 the Owner Ryan Martinez called me personally while I was working, and began the conversation with "Everything you said was a lie" and insisted on continuing to try to berate me, then I told him that the conversation was over. He then began to incessantly call my phone back to continue to harass me, I chose to not answer. His defamatory response below, proves what kind of business person he is. The hide-a-bed couch is 11 years old. It has been moved by 2 prior Hire a Helper companies, on 2/28/17, and again on 9/17/17, no Heavy items have ever been charged. The wooden Hope Chest has had the same exact items in it for the past 20 years. Once again it has been moved many times in that time frame. A dispute will be filed against this company, and the lack of professionalism of the Owner should be noted. **
In response to your updated review each company has the ability to to implement there own fees. The crew only charged you 25% of this fee. All of our jobs are recorded and monitored any couch that has a bed inside and is over 10 years old is going to be excessively heavy. A 4 foot chest full of books will exceed 300lbs easily. You read these policies prior to booking yet you still chose to book. If you’d like I’ll send you pictures of these items my crew has pictures of the books inside and of the manufacture weight of that couch which is 381 pounds
You spoke to the operations manager the owner does not deal with these issues.

A call from the office explaining to process and assigning your crew as well as their names. All of our crew have uniforms and ID badges they were on sleeves.

We always load boxes first as this is the safest way to transport your items. So have boxes ready please.
