Tyrone called about a half hour before the earlier window of 5-6. He and Sean arrived at 5. They busted their chops loading the truck. We have very very heavy, old dressers. They packed them and the rest of our stuff well and securely. They loaded the truck beautifully and made sure we approved. We hired them for two hours. They wasted absolutely no time and finished early.

My show-up window was between 11:00-12:00. Tyrone called saying it would be closer to 12:00. At 12:22, I received a text saying that they wouldn't be there until 1:30. I immediately called him because I had to leave at 3:00 to pick-up someone from the airport. I asked what the problem was and Tyrone said they had car trouble. Honestly, that's not my problem, but they made it mine. At that point, I had to ask my neighbor if he could babysit since I had to leave before they would finish. Luckily, he was available.
Once they arrived, they were pleasant enough, but they certainly took their time. I had all of the boxes in the garage, so it was just furniture that they needed to remove from the house itself. When I left, they had only just begun removing the furniture. Side note: There were maybe 50-60 boxes in the garage, so not that many. I previously had a POD delivered and most of my stuff was in that.
I received a call at 4:06 saying they were done. Based on how the truck looked when I got back, I have no idea what took them the additional time. Besides that, when I reached my destination, there were several damaged items due to the way the truck was packed. I understand it's a moving truck and things can shift during transport, BUT THEY DO THIS FOR A LIVING and should know better.
I would NOT recommend them - they're not reliable, not quick, and clearly don't know how to pack a truck to avoid damage.

Amazing job. My apartment’s staircase is not an easy one to maneuver furniture around and they did fantastic. I would definitely hire them again.

I would highly recommend Tyrone and team. This was easily the most seamless moving experience I've had - I moved to Chicago from Texas and had a full 15' moving truck they were able to unload and help organize (including bed assembly) within the 2 hour timeframe.
I particularly appreciated that Tyrone called the day before to check in, confirm the time they'd arrive and discuss logistics (elevator reservation, etc.). I am so appreciative of their hard work and how friendly they both were. If I move within the Chicagoland area again, I'd definitely leverage Just Us Movers again!
