Chris and his partner were right on time and worked non-stop to get us packed and truck loaded. They were professional and very careful and respectful with our items and furniture. If you want moving done right, these are the people to hire!

My guys were Excellent!!!!!

I had left several furniture pads down by the truck to be used, but upon unpacking the truck later, I realized only a couple were used. Expensive pieces of furniture were placed in the truck unprotected with the pads and not well secured, resulting in significant damage.

Our movers were very nice and courteous and helped finish boxing things up that were loose. They carefully packed everything on the uhaul truck for us and we’re perfect.

Got exactly what I asked for.

For a recent commercial move, we contracted with two separate companies for pickup and delivery, so we had a good comparison of immediate labor services in addition to nearly a dozen moves through professional service vendors. Moving With Pride's crew showed up 45 min late, they weren't motivated especially towards the end of the load so they had to be micromanaged, and they double-booked themselves, so we never got the option as stated in the contract to extend an additional hour. We would elect to not hire them again for any future moving services.
1. You booked 4 movers for 3 hours with an arrival between 9 am - 10 am, they arrived at 9:45 am. If you've done countless moves with hireahelper, then you knew there was a 1 hr grace period. If you needed us at 9 am sharp, you could have added that in your notes or tell us when we tallked to you several times before your move date. We specifically told you the day before that the crew will contact you with an accurate arrival time once in route, but it will definitely be between 9 - 10 am.
2. You were also aware that there is an extra charge for each heavy item, this charge increases the crews pay. You had 3 items that were 1000+lbs and only listed one (1). The crew gets extra pay for moving such items. So when you don't mention these items, the crew shows up expecting to perform work according to the details in the work order. So it is a good idea to be honest about what is needed. If you have 3 flights of steps and you put no flights, that's what they expect, (no steps). So they will have an issue performing because they are not getting paid for steps when they should. Same situation with extra heavy items. You did not list the 3 items over 1000+ lbs, if you had list them Im 100% certain there would have been no issues. You still disputed the 3 items even tho you knew we moved them, thankfully we had a signed agreement so we were able to get paid after 3 days thanks to your dispute.
3. You booked for 3 hours and wanted the crew to stay an extra 1 hour, they told you they had another job to go to and won't be able to stay the extra 1hr. If you've been down this road many times, would it be safe to say you should've booked for 4 hours? We did not double book. You booked from 9-12pm, 3 hours. The crew had a 2 pm job after, that's not "double-booked. It states in the contract that we can stay an extra hour, which is up to the movers discretion and schedule. We appreciate your business and wish you the best.
Moral of this story is "Honesty is the Best Policy".

T & Z did a good job. However, I found Z distracted with his mobile phone several times during the time they were helping us.

Do not make my same mistake and believe the 5 star reviews. It took them more than 2 hours to do what me and 2 other of my Marines did in less than 45 minutes. I paid $442.71 for the following issues: They weren’t moving with w purpose AT ALL. I even started helping them to have them go faster, not bc I’m cheap, but bc there’s no way it was supposed to take as long as it did. They even told me that I didn’t have to help, that I could just relax and they’d have take care of everything. They left trash behind, my smaller belongings like notes from my daughter I got in the mail when I was deployed, and pictures that fell out of things, all along the walkway to the apartment. The apartment manager woke me up the day after telling me I needed to clean the sidewalk. Then, when I was turning in the U-Haul, they left my $100 table cover in the truck, along with 3 other boxes, and their unfinished water bottles. On the outside of the truck, they left my pack of unused packing paper on the floor behind the truck. I texted them photos of it and all I got was “sorry about that”, but while they were moving my stuff, they kept trying to talk to me. Get someone else.
1. If pictures and other small items fell out of things, then there is a good chance they were not packed properly.
2. You had 2 helpers, you and 2 of your marine friends equals 3 people. 3 ppl compared to 2 ppl makes a difference. And my guys aren't marines they are movers that get paid by the hour. On this day it was also 100 degrees and you booked us at 3pm when it was hottest. No one expects movers or any vendor to run up and down steps in that heat. You didn't even have water to offer them. We thank you for serving our country, but we are movers not marines, we are not a boot camp.
3. The crew should have made sure everything was off the truck, yes. On the other hand, you also should've made sure the truck was empty before you turned it in.
4. The mere fact that you are upset because they were trying to hold a conversation with you while working, also speaks volumes. My guys are social, pleasant and hard working, and we get lots of positive feedback regarding there interactions. This is the first time in 7 years we had a customer complain about the guys talking to them. You should have made it clear when you booked us that ' you don’t want the movers talking to you. They were on-time, didn't damage anything, and completed the job in 2 hrs.
Sounds like an overall good job, with some minor "cons". Thank you for the business.

The two gentlemen were awesome. They were friendly and professional. They were careful with all our belongings and safely brought each item out of the POD and into its respective room or location. They asked us if we needed anything else and were overall exceptionally courteous and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!
