They did inform us of running behind and gave regular updates on when they would arrive. Although I had asked in advance if they would provide ties and blankets, they did not have supplies. I wasn't expecting them to, but I think at a minimum they should have discussed this with my mom as they were packing and suggested she purchase the needed supplies, which she was prepared to do. I had also hired them for 3 hours and had to personally have the time corrected to the 2 hours it took. I think they could have been much more patient and thorough with the amount of time I hired them for, especially since it was to help my elderly mother since I could not be present to help coordinate her move. I was available by phone but they only contacted me in order for me to complete payment.

An adequate, if flawed experience. 1) Movers arrived outside of one hour window, with no notice received prior to them being late. 2) No hand truck or moving cart was evident even though they offered to bring at no charge and after my asking days in advance for those items to be used. 3) Movers were attentive-at least I thought they were until my request to use my card tables (to put boxes below tables and on top of them) providing a space saving way to load boxes into our home. 4) They worked hard AND fast (a two hour pre-paid minimum time frame is required) by disregarding safety loading stacks of 3 boxes then blindly climbing stairs-finishing in only one hour. Our recommendation: any future moves will not have me calling for help from ANY company based on our experiences from this entire process.

Did the bare minimum to load the POD. Required much more direct supervision than I had expected so I couldn’t work on other packing in parallel. They were ready to leave the job after 2hrs although I had booked 4hrs - only when I showed them the email confirmation. So poor communication from office to guys in the field. They were p’d off - not apologetic for causing my wife and me a panic attack - that they had indeed a 4hr job after they were told by their office about my order. They do the job but with the least customer dialogue possible. Seth was the more cooperative of the two guys. He took more initiative than his partner that day. They got it done but were frustrated by specific requests to shrink wrap or disassemble specific furniture. Would have appreciated someone with much more experience in packing the POD tight and more professional customer manner.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
The customer can expect to receive a text confirming the date and time of the job. Through this communication they can also add any additional information that might be helpful such as: heavy items, long walks, specialty items, parking arrangements, etc.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
The movers will be on-site within the arrival window given. They will then do a walkthrough of the premises in order to strategize best practices for your individual relocation. They will then go over paperwork and begin the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Any prep the customer does on their end will quicken the move saving the movers time and, in effect, the customer money. Prep may include: breaking down beds, emptying drawers, clearing a walkway throughout the house, etc. Of course if these things are not done before hand, the workers will willingly do them when they arrive.
What types of moves have you handled?
After so many years in the industry there is nothing we haven't seen. We've done something so small as moving a couple of pieces of furniture to another room to relocating five thousand pound printing presses across town. We've relocated customers from California to Maine and everywhere in between. We can provide packing materials, packing services, loading services, transportation, unloading services, and unpacking services. In short there's nothing we can't do in this industry.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The bet part of the job is seeing the relief in the customers' faces when they see that they don't have to move anything or stress about someone else moving their possessions. it always makes me smile when they visibly relax. Moving doesn't have to be stressful.
What training do you provide your crew members?
The onboarding process for our movers is extensive. Probably the part I like the best about our company is that 100% of our workers are referrals from workers we already have. That means the guys we hire are already vetted by our own employees who would never want to work with someone unreliable or lazy. In fact when we interview a person we already know what kind of work ethic and character he or she has after talking to the person that referred the potential worker. Our workers are as good as it gets.
