I was referred by a friend to use pro movers. I had three movers for four hours to load two containers of basement furniture /boxes and two upstairs bedrooms, patio set and third garage of boxes. I was excited to see them quickly assess and move the heaviest of pieces of furniture from basement and load the first of two containers like a carefully planned tetress puzzle. Filling every corner floor to ceiling and strapping down pieces to ensure it was secure.
However, the effort on the second container was anemic, one of the three movers disappeared periodically, And the other two became more worried about time. The effort and care they took with first container quickly dissolved. I had to coax to load the patio set and they left additional pieces sitting in garage and left no room for bags of clothes. Items we not strapped and the container was not the tightly fit effort of the first. They coaxed me to call and say they were done as to not be charged. I thought they were going to give another 20 -30 min to finish- free. But I called and they left ‘to another call’. I turned to other aspects of house. After 30 min or so, I went downstairs to find all the seat and back cushions to my sectional couch were till in the basement, along with two rolled carpets, and ladder to a bookcase, and the door still off frame, they had taken off to move items. They did not make the effort in second container as the first. There was no way to enter the items.
They went off to another job, and I had to order someone new to come and unload to reload to get in the rest of my family room. They took an hour to readjust and fit the items left behind downstairs and they items they left in the garage. I even had space for my clothes bags. Even they said I was ‘done dirty’ by not completing the job appropriately.
If you use pro movers. Never let them out if your sight. Ensure they finish the job appropriately before they leave. Don’t call job finished unless they are finished. Micro manage! I trusted them from the first container… but ‘burned’ on the second.
Sad and disappointed in this process. I requested a refund and Hire a Helper offered one hour (I hope times 3 movers- but I have not seen it) It inconvenienced and reduced my time to prepare the house before closing. Moving is stressful enough. Having to be ‘high jacked’ of time and money in the middle of it leaves me Completely disappointed.

Ed, Nigel and Cortez did a great job moving my heavy furniture up a flight of stairs and into my home. It was done with care and efficiency.

Miguel and Johnny were amazing. Especially since their supervisor did not tell them what kind of items they were to move. The u-pack cube looked like a tetras game when they were done. Nothing was moving around!

Highly recommend ProMovers. The team was friendly and hard working. They were fast and completed the job in about half the time I thought it would take. The truck was packed amazing! Nothing shifted in transit or was broken. I wish all moves were this easy!
