Find someone else. Part of the issue was a management issue, the other was the lack of knowledge of the movers themselves.
The Order was for 3 movers, and only 2 were dispatched by the company. One of the movers called his friend to come help, making 3. Only one gentleman knew what to do and yet he was not allowed to be the lead. The service was to include moving dollies and tools. Arrived with nothing. If I had not rented 2 two-wheelers from the truck service, we would have had to cancel.
The guys had no idea how to use the straps or use the two wheelers. My daughter and I were loading the dollies, strapping down the boxes and handing them off to the movers. All the furniture was wrapped and shrink-wrapped before they arrived. All the boxes were of uniform size. Loading should have taken no more than 3 hours tops, yet it drug on and on where I ended up paying an additional $500 in time. They hit the walls and door jambs with the furniture & boxes.
You are better off with a different service than IJC Logistics.

The 2 workers who showed up were on time and helpful. They did the assigned work in a reasonable time period with small breaks here and there. They were careful with my items. However, TheHire a Helper corp. was TERRIBLE to work with. They didn’t explain all the charges that showed up on the invoice, didn’t send me an invoice until I demanded it and went ahead and tried to charge me without my permission - thankfully my card declined them! It took numerous calls to rectify the issue and I’m still not sure that they haven’t overcharged me! I’m waiting for a refund - which could have been a apices by charging me correctly in the first place. Buyer beware!! Look elsewhere for help before coming to this group!

We had recent bad luck with movers, so we were hesitant to hire movers again. However, IJC was great. They called ahead and had me send photos of any items that were questionable (they were fine). They showed up inside the arrival window and performed a thorough walk-through before starting. The crew lead said that the job would take a little longer than the estimate and he asked if we wanted them to stop at the cut-off time or finish the job (very considerate!). The 3 crew members were hard working, polite, and asked questions when needed. They were careful, and nothing was damaged in the move! They are worth the money, and I would be happy to hire them again.

The two guys who showed up forgot the dolly and had to leave and come back with it. I was understanding of that and would wait but then the company tried to charge me an extra 1/2 hour when the workers were only here for 1 1/2 hours. Also, even though the 2 workers seemed pleasant enough, they could NOT speak ENGLISH, and we needed to translate everything through a phone interpreter. That was extremely frustrating. I have additional work to do here, but will not be using Hire A Helper.

Here are the things people you and others should know about IJC Logistics :
Were they on time?
Nope, not even close to on time. As a matter of fact, I had to call. When I did they said that they were scheduled for the afternoon even though several emails were sent confirming the time. When the two guys showed up, they were both just called that very day meaning that IJC hadn't actually lined up the helpers ahead of time.
Were they prepared for the job?
No, they didn't have any tools to disassemble and reassemble our dining room table. They damaged the it so badly that it is probably irreparable.
Did they work hard?
Yes, the two young men did try their best, however, neither of them seemed built for moving large heavy furniture and struggled quite a bit with the larger pieces.
Were they respectful of your property and goods?
They were respectful to me personally, but I don't think damaging an expensive dining room table would be considered respectful of our property or goods.
Would you use them again?
Oh HELL NO!

The guys were friendly, amazing, and fast! I will absolutely recommend Hire a Helper and IJC Logistics to everyone I know that needs to move.

I paid for two helpers for two hours only one showed up. I’m still waiting for my refund. I believe since they broke the contract. I should only have to pay half but I had to pay half plus. The one gentleman that showed up was amazing.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Our company will communicate with the customer weeks prior before the move the level of services they will need. They can plan to be at the current home when our driver arrives and throughout the loading of the shipment. If they are not able to be there, the customer may leave the diver the name ad number of the person you’ve designated to oversee the process
What types of moves have you handled?
Our company has handled all types of moves from local to long distance and commercial services.
