The supervisor, Emmanuel, seems professional and competent. The movers, not so much. Multiple damage issues, at both residences, plus items that were moved. The worst was the idea to take a refrigerator, and load it with the doors facing the ground, making contact with the dolly, only to then have the top of the front of the fridge get scratched with the cement. Their response to me..."if you don't like how he did it, tell us to do it differently". Really? You should know how to do it...that's why I hired you. Their loading of the truck was pathetic. They claimed we didn't have a big enough truck, all while only putting items on the floor, with just a couple things on top of those. Absolutely the worst space and storage utilization I've ever seen. Then, they want to get into it with me when they failed to load 14 items on a truck for a move five miles away in two hours. And I hired a third man for the one heavy item. They were incompetent in using a dolly, to the point my mother suggested they should try that concept, which seemed like a revelation to them. You really can't make it up - they shouldn't be in the moving business. If you hire this company to move things, the items should be things like dirt, rocks, perhaps scrap lumber, or things that need to be taken to the dump. They have no regard for people's property. They're much more focused on taking breaks and complaining about the fact that a TV stand is heavy. I'm having to file damage claims with hire-a-helper. And to be honest, this wasn't that complicated of a move, except from the fact that things did need to get moved, which proved to be the major problem for this company. Save yourself the time and headache and get a company like 5-star movers and spend the extra money, it's worth it in the end. I doubt "Ultimate Moving Service" will be around for very long given the quality, effort, and professionalism that is lacking in their service. What an absolute joke.
