I hired these movers through a 3rd party site. A simple one day move took three days and an additional $250 for a 2 bedroom apartment. One of the two movers arrived at 10am with no equipment. Stating the owner had it who was 30 minutes late and again no equipment. My husband ran to uhaul where he was able to get a dolly. Because of the tardiness, and milking the clock, they went over the allotted 3 hours and I was left with a loaded uhaul truck that I had to pay additional time for as well as the extra hour of unlabor. The owner returned the next day to unload at my storage unit saying there was a 2 hour minimum. Ha! After protesting this uncommunicated stipulation. He conceded and unloaded my things in 30 minutes. Totally disgusting! Taking advantage of people during their most vulnerable time. The owner was paid an additional $211 direct and $50 went to uhaul for extra time for the truck.

Mover's response:

I can't believe this review either. There is a one hour grace period for us to get there. Your job was scheduled between 10am-11am. We were on time. We loaded a 20 foot truck from top to bottom. I thought i packed that truck very well. You should have gotten a 26 foot truck. Yes, we did bring equipment and tools, which i used to disassemble your bed and kitchen table. You had a lot of stuff and the walk was very long. Everytime you book movers there is a 2 hour minimum. Its on the site. We drove from the northwest suburbs to Orland Park. You wanted to pay us $40 total to come from the northwest suburbs to come unload your stuff. I have to be fair to my helper and pay for travel. You have a good day. I know this review is false, and I'll just make it up on the next move.

I had scheduled 3 guys for 2 hours. First of all they were late and I was on a time crunch with PODS so needed to be out in 4 hours. Secondly, just one guy showed up, with no gear no dolly no nothing. Kudos to guy who showed up, he helped (some of the stuff got scuffed and damaged) but myself and my dad had to be the workers and had to do the majority work ourselves. Just a bad experience. If you want your work to be done with plenty help and on time then I would think twice before I go with this service.

Mover's response:

I personally did this job myself. Yes, the other 2 crew members didn't show. I came and finished this job myself. You and your 70 year old father did not did the majority of the job yourselves. I did the job and asked you to let me do the job even when you were in the way. The job took 2.5 hours. I charged you for 1 helper and 2 hours. This was also an unload. I didn't damaged not one piece of furniture. Everything you said was not true, and I don't know why you would say this after you said you were impressed. You also tipped me $300 for coming and doing that job myself, and finishes the job before the pod driver had to go.
