They were courteous and timely. They worked fast and very effiicient. They had everything in the truck within two hours flat. Everything was pack full and tight and I was able to take along even those things which I had thought I might need to leave behind. I was very happy with their service and would really recommend them to anyone.

We had a little trouble getting started but once we were underway I was very surprised about what a wonderful, professional job they did. This was the friendliest service I've received since moving to California! Our movers were thorough, polite, and extremely personable. Our truck was unloaded in less than the time and after all that our movers were even cheery about shifting furniture around for us inside! My loyalty is always based on friendly customer service so I will definitely be using this company for my next move!

I LOVED these guys! Christian and Jesse arrived early, assessed the move and went right to work. My move was not easy and to make matters worse, I grossly underestimated the time needed. They worked non-stop for 7 hours and only took one 20 minute lunch break. They were professional, extremely careful of my furniture and knowledgable in how to pack a truck and move furniture. I have used other movers in the past and these two were by far the best! Cyndi

Started out average but ended up awful. I let a LOT of stuff roll off my back. And in fact was even called "Super Mike" by the very guys hired to help me move. (story to come later). But I simply can't sit by any longer and not express my utter disgust with this company.

From the beginning there was something a little off about them. First, they never contacted me to confirm. I ended up calling the office line and the owner's cel phone. When Steve got back to me he was very apologetic and agreed that someone should have called me before then. No big deal at all if that was where it ended.

Michelle finally called to confirm but it went to my voice mail. So the next day from the road I called her back and went to her voice mail but assured her that I was coming and was going to be there on time and that I had already confirmed with Steve the owner. She calls back again and I confirm with her in person (now for the third time confirming) that indeed I was going to be in LA as scheduled.

Again, no big deal, more of a funny annoyance at the time.

Then I arrive in LA ahead of schedule and Edgar the mover calls me to confirm that I was going to be there on time. At this point I was like, you have got to be kidding me, but still laughing I told Edgar that I had now confirmed four different times and that yes I was already there ahead of schedule. Edgar was really excited with this news and said he'd be there early. Great!

Wrong. Edgar showed up late. Still no big deal. I was friendly and just excited to be in LA.

Now I live on the 3rd floor and there's no elevator. I also have really nice actual wood and very heavy (read not cheap IKEA particle board) furniture. I informed TriCounty movers of this ahead of time when I filled out the form to hire them. But of course that information wasn't given to Edgar. That being said, Edgar was a sport.

He apologized for being late and vouched that they could get my furniture upstairs undamaged b/c they know several "magic tricks".

I said great and told them I'd help them carry boxes up.

Then Edgar made the comment that his helper friend needed to get out of the car and start helping. I said nothing. Eventually we were able to pull his helper out of the car to start working and we started the process.

Edgar's helper was NOT made to be a mover. He was furious about the stairs and was honestly flat out lazy. Edgar yelled at him several times to keep working and was getting very frustrated with him as time went on.

I feel for the man - it was hard work. But you know what? I didn't ask him to be a mover. He chose to do the job. So ummm pick up some boxes and move.

I continued working through out moving multiple boxes up by hand while Edgar and his helper used dollies. Finally came time for the big furniture.

They were really rough on my couch. Knocking it into walls and flipping it onto the platform. At this point I was a nervous wreck and it was breaking my heart. I actually politely reminded them that the dresser couldn't be treated that way and Edgar said "OK Boss, we'll get it up there". And I continued muscling up boxes three at a time.

When they finally moved the dresser, I thought Edgar's helper was going to have a heart attack. Again I felt terrible for the guy, but again, why did he sign up to be a mover??

So they decided to dolly up the dresser. Made the most sense. And in Edgar's defense, he did put a furniture pad around the dresser to protect it. However, (I'm sure you know where this is going) but when all was said and done, the top of the dresser was permanently bruised from the bolts in the dolly.

Now in my defense, I never raised my voice, I never yelled or cussed, and everyone will vouch that I handled myself very professionally. We continued on with the job and even though they took a small 5 minute break, I never stopped moving boxes.

We finished the job in just two hours, exactly the time scheduled. However, that's when Edgar called me Super Mike saying that the only way they finished was b/c I worked my butt off, AND laughed and said "is that how they do it back in Cincinnati?" Yes boys, that is how we do it back in the midwest. We work the job til we get it done.

So at the end they wanted me to sign damage waivers and pay them. I politely refused saying I wouldn't sign or pay anything until I talk to Steve about what next steps were for the furniture. Edgar was furious saying he wouldn't get paid until I released payment. I apologized and said he needed to take that up with Steve. At that point, with Edgar as my witness, I called Steve and left him a voice mail explaining the situation and even defended Edgar saying that he tried his best to protect my furniture, but the fact remained that it had been damaged. But since it was a voice mail, I didn't feel resolved and so I sent Edgar home without signing anyhting or releasing payment.

Within minutes Michelle called and was very sweet and apologetic. Again, I never raised my voice and we had a very nice polite and professional conversation about my experience. She was very apologetic and assured me that they would take care of me in every way shape or possible, but that I needed to go ahead and release payment. So I agreed with the proviso that steps would be taken to ammend the damage.

That was now exactly two weeks ago, and guess what, have HEARD NOTHING from Tri-County Movers. NOT A THING!

Obviously I'm not going to let this die. But I would ABSOLUTELY NOT recommend these movers to anyone.

These guys don't slack off. Conscientious of the client's time and property, they take care of your move as if you were they themselves. Ask for Rick.

They were scheduled to show at 9am and work until 11a. They arrived at 8:30 and stayed until 10:30 instead, which still worked out for me. I had already started moving things myself so they went right to work. I am very happy with the service and will use them again.

We were very happy with the help provided by Brian and Christian. They were a bit late because they got stuck in traffic, but once they arrived they were friendly, professional, and competent.

We originally booked them to help us move our piano, but when they got there, they assessed that the piano actually needed 3 movers (we only had 2 there), and said they would be happy to help us arrange another pick up time later. While this was slightly inconvenient, I was extremely thankful that they didn't just try to move it on their own. My piano is my baby and I would be heartbroken if it got damaged. They made the right call.

As for my input from the help we received from Edgar and Mario, they did a really good job, they were quick and had a great sense of humor.
They were very pleasant and they worked extremely hard getting everything packed into our 26' U-Haul for us. Only comment, my
husband had to reorganize how they loaded the truck a little bit but all in all, they were extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. We would use them again if we were in California.

Thank you!
