Relocation with Finesse Moving

We are a small company ran by Kellen Davis. We provide moving services such as full services moves in which we bring the truck, in house moves, loading and unloading trucks/ containers. I have been in the moving business for 3 years now and decided to go into business for myself. We offer top of the line customer service and no job is too big or too small!!

The moving service I received this evening was outstanding. Both gentlemen were punctual, professional, and treated my belongings with great care. Finesse moving is the GOAT! They came and loaded my POD with great expertise and speed. When I opened my POD upon delivery, everything was pretty much still in place. The loading was efficient and professional. My brother in law was highly impressed, being a retired truck driver. He raved about the quality of how the POD was loaded. I highly recommend Finesse Moving for any job. I’m sure you’ll be glad you did. Thank you for a job well done!!!

They were available immediately after we learned our original company had made a booking error. Our pod had already arrived and our alotted time to load it began to count down. We were desperate. I called Finesse and they made things happen and got a team to us within an hour to help us. Two young guys who knew what they were doing showed up and got to work immediately. Got the job done in time and we managed to safe some money by not going over on our pod time. Very thankful for this crew and company. Would absolutely recommend them to somebody looking to get a job done quickly and correctly.

Tried to force fit wooded furniture into the POD instead of taking the time (an hour left) to rearrange and refit. When that didn’t work, they attempted to take the furniture apart and broke chunks off of the ends where the screws went in because of how aggressively he was working to hurry up and get it handled. I said something about it and was basically told that it wasn’t a big deal and it was part of the reality of moving. He said it was just “cheap IKEA furniture anyway.” When I argued, he said “I don’t know who you think you’re talking to.” I attempted to de escalate the situation, and asked them to just finish. Then wanted to make things right at the very end so he could get a good review and gratuity. The entire move went fine until the POD was full and it was going to take more effort to make things fit than they wanted to give even though there was still an hour of time left that I prepaid for. On top of all that, they only used one strap when I was told to buy six, did not cover all of the furniture with the blankets I was told I had to buy, and my walls were banged up pretty bad in the process. Pretty disappointed with how things went overall.

Mover's response:
I understand it was not the best interaction but if you’re going to leave a review please tell the full truth is all I ask. We had no reason to hurry or rush your move because you were our only move that we had at the time. When we arrived you already had an attitude the whole time even referring to us as “you people”. Yes your bed Frame did have a piece of wood that came off while we were taking it apart because it wasn’t fitting in assembled so to avoid “forcing it in” I showed you how that piece could be repaired with a simple fix with wood glue and told you that is common with IKEA furniture it meant to be built and stay at one place is what I told you I didn’t tell you that the furniture was cheap. You provided a few blankets I asked you if you wanted us to save them for anything in particular you said no so I used sparingly on the items that needed them the most or whatever had something going on top of it. The straps you provided were not made for the pods but I still made a work and used it at the end to ensure that the load did not shift, all those straps were not even necessary. You waived your hand at us angrily yelling to “just get the stuff in” so yes I did say “I don’t know who you are talking to like that” because we were not speaking to you in that kind of way at all. This thing with the walls is all brand new to me because we we did not touch them, there wasn’t anytime big enough that would have even damaged the walls bringing everything down. Even if that was the case it’s a small fix I would would have worked that out with you then and there by either compensating you or to Home Depot and getting the items to patch everything, our goal is to return your things the way is was before we got there so we fix any type of damage that was not there before we arrived. When I tried to speak to you about it at the end apologized for for bed frame piece coming off and the back and forth you continued to be belligerent, even my partner who wasn’t saying anything the whole time even told you that’s not not how you speak to people. I don’t know if that’s what you call de escalating the situation you telling us “to get out or here” at the end when I asked you “if there is anything we can do make things right” so that you are happy instead you waived you again hand again with the same gesture and said get out of here, so why would I asked you for a review or gratuity. At ten very begging after introducing ourselves I said if you are happy with us at the end any reviews or gratuity is appreciated so you used that comes on here and say what just said in an attempt to put my business down. This is totally not true, we do not break people things or rude to our customers and we have plenty of reviews and repeat clients that will attest to that. This seemed like a personal issue more than anything because everything could have been easily resolved but you refused and chose to use that energy on this review instead

This was the most seamless moving process. Both Kellen and his co worker were amazing, kind, and careful with all of my things. I will be using them again for future moves, without hesitation! They turned my unpleasant start to a move into a really positive experience.

My favorite part about being a mover is that it is what I enjoy doing and it keeps me in shape also I enjoy meeting new people each job.

I train my guys the proper way to pick up furniture safely and to take every angle with finesse and care to keep your furniture and walls safe. Most importantly safety for everyone.
