Don't hire!
Our move started out bad and just got worse. The movers were scheduled to arrive between 9-10 AM. I got a text and a call from the lead guy at about 9:30 letting me know they were about 30 min out. Then they showed up at about 11:30 - 2 hours later! There were 2 guys (I'll call them the Lead and the Worker). The worker was wearing slip-on deck shoes, moved like a slug and spent the majority of the time on his phone complaining that there was no service at our house. The Lead guy was an A-Hole! He was rude and argumentative. I had guessed at about 3 hours of work and they billed me for 5 hours but were only at the house for about 4. Now I know that my guestimate was short - I'm not a mover - and I expected to pay for the overtime. But I didn't expect to pay for them not to work. Every time I went to check on them, the lead guy was on his phone talking (from what I could hear) about other jobs. When charging by the hour, you need to work like you're being paid by the hour. If you want to have 1 guy working on other jobs and the other trying to get online, then charge by the job.
But all of it was trumped by the Lead Guy's attitude. A good attitude and customer service can go a long way and ass can go just as far the other direction. If they had both been fast hard workers, treating me and my family like **** still gets you 1 start (because there's no lower option).

Today 2 young men from College Movers, LLC’ through a partnership with Hire a Helper moved my heavy furniture. At 53 I handled all boxes and small items while having the 2 young men from College Movers, LLC load and unload all my heavy furniture. I definitely recommend College Helpers, LLC!

The two young men were on time, polite, very efficient with moving our furniture, boxes and other belongings into our POD. We realized half way thru them loading we would need to move two more pieces of furniture and they were able to readjust the packing to accommodate all our things we needed to move. We have used hire a helper in the past and will use them again. Highly recommend their services.

We will reach out to the customer to confirm details! Our service is simple. You book with us, we book you in our personal booking system, you get reminders of our move, our movers call you to let you know they are on their way to your location, movers finish, then lastly, we confirm with you that the move is complete.

They can expect a call when we are on their way. They will also receive a reminder the hour before by our booking system.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We love meeting new people. As a college student, the group in which we communicate with is fairly small and simple. It is great to meet the people in the community of the college we attend.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Each crew has a "Lead Mover" which is experienced in all areas of service and especially moving. They lead their crew. All crew members are taught to be confident, listen to each customers needs, and apply their intellect to each job.
