However, I didn't think I would owe any additional money for an extra 30 minutes time. I had seen them take a couple of breaks, sitting down and drinking water (and YES, they earned with the heat) as well as time spent talking BUT - that should have been deducted from time working the actual job, not billed to me after the job was completed. It's especially frustrating since they cost me more to book them same-day (and that happened only because a previous company with HireAHelper fell through last minute that was more affordable and had awesome reviews).
I like the Hire A Helper service. I used them in Miami and now in Phoenix. Just be sure to WATCH and ANNOTATE exact times they are working - because they could take advantage and charge more for their services, counting BREAKS as time spent working.

The crew I hired was way cheaper than the previous company I used. This crew worked hard on a hot day and got the job done in a timely fashion. They alerted me when a piece of furniture was cracked and took care to move it so it wouldn't damage further. A job well done.

Awsome communication, I never used a service like this a was very uneasy. I don't like computer's I would rather speak with people. Even after I changing things. they just rolled with it and did not get mad. Just said not to worry it's going to be taken care of. The boss and his 3 man crew made me feel confident that moving my mom would go smooth. If only the came to Denver to unload.

-Introductory phone call within 24 hrs of your booking to review your job requirements -Professional customer service representatives to assist with any of your pre-move questions -A dedicated representative of our company to call if any changes need to be made.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Introductory phone call from the crew 30 minutes before arrival -A crew that arrives on-time, ready to assist on your move -Uniformed crew members -tools, door jam protector and rug runner as well as a carton dolly and a furniture dolly. Basic hand tools for basic assemble/disassemble, that may be needed to move some items. -a walkthrough of your home with the crew to discuss your goals for the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
-Please utilize the many years of experience of our service reps to assist with any questions you have leading up o your move -If you are loading, you will want to make sure you have all the right supplies to ensure a safe move. Our reps can help with your planning, but some of the things you might need are furniture blankets, rope, straps, mattress bags, tape and boxes Please make sure you label the side of all boxes for your new home. -If you are unloading, you might want to try to secure a packing.

What training do you provide your crew members?
With over 20+ years experience of successful moves, we have developed policies and procedures for all types of moves. Each crew member is given extensive in the office training on these policies and procedures. We also take all movers through an extensive hands-on training program in our warehouse that walks them through the proper way to pack, protect, carry, load and unload your belongings that are good for the safety of your items and all involved in the move.
