This moving company was not what was advertised. I have used hire a helper for so many years going back to my military move in California, but I have never had a worst experience. It cost me 6 hours instead of 3 and they charged me $17 for tape when I pick them because they provided that stuff. At the end all the guy says word we provide a rope. I ended up buying $150 worth of their supplies just to pack up my stuff to go in a POD. The guy who actually loaded the stuff in the POD was good but that was it.
I really picked them because they had good ratings, showed as providing packing supply items, but I would challenge that notion at this time. I actually had the moving experience that I’ve heard about in other horror stories. I was stuck and I couldn’t do anything else because the stuff had to be out of the house. Never again.

Anthony and Scott were fantastic. Friendly, fast, efficient and so very hard working. The packing job looked impossible to me but they left me wondering how all my stuff fit into that pod. I would definitely use M-H-M-E again

5 stars is not enough to describe my experience with Anthony and Chris ; I would give them an 8 on that rating scale.
I was moving halfway actoss the country to help my Sister after the deaths of her Husband, Son and Best Friend - all within eight weeks !!
They worked very fast , in over 100 degree temperatures, with a “can do” attitude- never said no to anything I asked. They were professional, intelligent, very caring. They helped me save money with several honest tips along the way. The most refreshing part was honesty & integrity. There was no trickery , no hidden additional charges or fees.
I would also like to recognize Greg, my first contact with hire a helper. He called immediately after I booked my move date.
He gave me specific , money saving, practical advice as well as a step-by-step overview as to what would happen throughout my entire experience. It was just as he promised. He called to make sure they arrived on time and that I was happy with their services !!!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
-Introductory phone call within 24 hrs of your booking to review your job requirements -Professional customer service representatives to assist with any of your pre-move questions -A dedicated representative of our company to call if any changes need to be made.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Introductory phone call from the crew 30 minutes before arrival -A crew that arrives on-time, ready to assist on your move -Uniformed crew members -tools, door jam protector and rug runner as well as a carton dolly and a furniture dolly. Basic hand tools for basic assemble/disassemble, that may be needed to move some items. -a walkthrough of your home with the crew to discuss your goals for the move.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
-Please utilize the many years of experience of our service reps to assist with any questions you have leading up o your move -If you are loading, you will want to make sure you have all the right supplies to ensure a safe move. Our reps can help with your planning, but some of the things you might need are furniture blankets, rope, straps, mattress bags, tape and boxes Please make sure you label the side of all boxes for your new home. -If you are unloading, you might want to try to secure a packing.

What training do you provide your crew members?
With over 20+ years experience of successful moves, we have developed policies and procedures for all types of moves. Each crew member is given extensive in the office training on these policies and procedures. We also take all movers through an extensive hands-on training program in our warehouse that walks them through the proper way to pack, protect, carry, load and unload your belongings that are good for the safety of your items and all involved in the move.
