The movers, Ramon and Lucas, arrived on time and did an excellent job carefully wrapping my furniture and helping me pack my small storage POD. They were meticulous in strategically placing and packing my belongings to maximize space and ensure everything was secure. The move took longer than expected, but they stayed late and worked overtime to make sure the job was done right. I really appreciated their dedication and attention to detail.

The entire team at Oregon Trail Moving were the best. I appreciate their patience while I managed through a small problem with the timing of the delivery of the key to the pod. They even offered to have their team bring a lock cutter to remove the pod lock. Nick and Jennifer were in touch with me the entire time and offered different options for unloading the pod. Movers showed up on time and moved all items into a multistory house with no damage to our property.

Matt and Joey were terrific. To begin with, they are very nice and friendly. They brought packing wrap with them and were able to wrap furniture and breakables quickly and efficiently. We supplied the blankets and straps which they used efficiently. They know how to maximize a container. They remove the stress associated with loading a container. I would absolutely use Oregon Trail Moving again!!!

On time, polite, professional, and competent. I don't think anyone else could have completed the unloading of our POD any faster. Liam and Jaime were quick, worked together well, were friendly, and obviously experienced movers. Many thanks for their efforts today. What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Customers will receive a follow up confirmation email upon booking. They will also receive a courtesy call the day before the move to confirm details and to inquire about any changes as is often the case with moving. Of course, at any time prior to your move you can contact Hire-A-Helper or speak with us directly with any changes or questions about your move. Friendly answers to questions are just a call away!
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Our crews will arrive approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the move and they will be waiting on-site to meet with you. They will arrive with all the specified equipment needed to complete your job as discussed and arranged previously with our staff. For every job they arrive with Tools, Dollys, Heavy Liftings Straps, Floor Runners for protection, Shrink Wrap & Moving Blankets, Tie Down Straps and more. If specified they will bring a variety of other equipment for Pianos, Hot Tubs etc.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Small and fragile items should be wrapped and boxed. Labeling boxes for your identification as well as the movers is always helpful at the other end. If you can stack boxes and arrange them so the movers are able to get to them with the Dollys this will save time and money. Stacks should be chest high and allowance for the movers to get to them should be made. Clear pathways for the movers, secure pets, and practice social distancing when the movers are on-site.
What types of moves have you handled?
We do all types of moving; Local, Long Distance, Office & Industrial. We are a Labor Moving Service. We do not provide or drive trucks. We specialize in container moves i.e. PODS, ABF, U-Pack, U-Box, & Pack Rat. Our customers also rent and drive their own trucks as well as rental moving trucks i.e. U-Haul, Penske, Enterprise, Budget, etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I am proud to be a native Oregonian. I was raised on a small cattle farm in Ashland. My Parents were full time teachers and farmers and showed me the fundamentals of hard work and perseverance. I thoroughly enjoy this business. From interacting with our customers to find solutions for their needs, and getting out and assisting our crews in the field. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your way!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Safety is always #1 ! Every Oregon Trail Mover starts as a helper and follows experienced crew leads with after undergoing a rigorous training protocol process at our headquarters. Each crew member is first evaluated for their individual talents and abilities in order to assess where they may be utilized most effectively on our team whether that be packing and wrapping, detailed inventory with computer skills, or the ability to lift heavy weight repeatedly for hours on end.
