With our move, there were lots of stairs and tight spaces both at the old home and the one we were moving to; so we had many concerns about our larger electronics and furniture.
The movers came with plenty of equipment and supplies for the job and a great deal of knowledge and experience in making our type of move. They worked methodically and tirelessly to get the job done right. They were friendly and courteous and listened patiently to our concern and addressed our needs.
We were very happy and pleased by the work they did and if we ever have to move again, we will definitely be using Portland Movers.

They were on time.
They took too long.
Four pieces of furniture were damaged.
Three need to be replaced because they were not wrapped properly or heavier items were placed on top of other pieces which caused a hole on the top of the bottom piece. They left lots of room towards the front of the pods container.

We are sorry to hear some of your furniture items were damaged. We reviewed the photos from your move and per review it was loaded accordingly. Unfortunately once we load the pod, we are not in control on how the pod is handled. Also we noticed a note on your order that you did not have enough moving blankets / pads. We actually provided padding to you at no additional cost. It is customer responsibility to provide adequate padding for your furniture, stretch wrap does not substitute padding. To address timing. Your move was completed within 3 hours, to load a 16ft pod it can take up to 4 hours.

Actually, the unloading and loading of the belongings was done well. But the movers were supposed to be there between 8 and 9 AM and did not show up until 10 AM. This presented a problem as I had a friend meeting them who planned to stay the entire time. I will never use HireAHelper again that’s for sure. So I learned my lesson. One of your representatives said that it was more expensive because of a truck. I think over $330 an hour is exorbitant for two movers. Worst of all was that you people did not do your job. You had me contact the movers who told me I would have three movers. But then when I called him back the next day, the owner told me HireAHelper had ordered only two movers. I guess that’s what the paperwork said to begin with. I know you would much rather than move over three hours so that you can make a lot more money. I will never ever go through a third-party again. I think it’s a scam.
We are sorry you were unhappy with the service you received. Your move was scheduled for 9-10am arrival and we arrived within that time frame. With you not being on site and having your friend there on your behalf, there was communication breakdown. After listening to all our calls we had with you, we never stated to you that you will receive a 3rd mover. Your move was ordered through Hireahelper.com for 2 movers and we provided you 2 movers. Based on what Paul said who was there on your behalf, the movers did an amazing job and you also stated that to us. If you wanted a 3rd mover, we could have definitely provided a 3rd mover, but it would cost you more per hour. Once again we strive to do the very best we can on each move. Thank you

The only thing is that someone didn't take notes when I called and talked to Christian and gave him the correct address as the one on the order was not correct but apparently no one told the fellows in the truck because they went to the old address rather than the one I had given them which made them quite late when they started. (although, they called me when they were driving to check things and I told them the correct address at that time)
They were polite, respectful of the furniture and worked non-stop. They made sure everything was wrapped appropriately. As it is an expensive hourly charge, my son and grandson assisted them by telling them where things were to go. All in all, it was a very positive experience and I appreciated being able to find a mover who didn't only want intra state moves.
I don't know how they could have done any better except for going to the wrong storage place.

Christian and his crew were awesome. They were efficient and super careful wrapping everything up and packed the POD securely. Highly recommend. I would most certainly use them again.
