Ken and Josh were super. Very friendly, Highly efficient and Knowledgeable. I have all custom built furniture and they took extraordinary care with it. They assembled my bed frames and placed the box springs and mattresses. It was raining but they covered everything including my hardwood floors and carpets. I had used professional packers to load my pods so everything was blanketed and shrink wrapped. Ken and Josh unwrapped everything, folded all the blankets wrangled the trash and even helped us unpack some boxes. They bent over backwards for me. These guys are great.

Ken and his team did an outstanding job. They were on time, extremely courteous, clean and responsive. Having moved over 30 times (military and military brat) and experiencing the gamut of movers STAR moving outshines them all, some were awful and frightening. Most of my moves I have done on my own or with my mother (when young). To have men who are strangers come into my home and be relaxed and comfortable is priceless. I recommend them to anyone in need of help especially other women.

Very scandalous company. First, they destroyed brand new living room furniture. They also promised they would complete the job if I paid them an additional hour and when the time neared the end they tried to get even more money. They did not complete the move. Dont let hire a helper fool you. I never agreed to complete the job and they still released the money

Mover's response:
Thank you Mr. Sidney for taking your time to share your experience. Whether it was a good or a bad one, it takes time out of your busy day to share with others, and for that I am so grateful. I am also grateful for many other things. Among those I am grateful for the day of the Educated Consumer, knowing this review will get the attention it deserves. Second, We credit so much of our success over the last 10 years to our desire to improve on efficiency, communication, service and skill on an every day basis. The opportunity for improvement here couldn't be larger, so for that I am very excited! For these reasons I am grateful.

I do want to first address the slander towards HireAHelper, then I will openly share with you the experience this gentlemen had for you to make your own decision. I encourage you to share what it would take to deliver to you a FIVE STAR experience, and we will shoot for a SIX STAR review.

HireAHelper is a reputable and principled company, very clear and concise on their terms and conditions. You need not have any concerns in doing business with them.

Also, we will NEVER demand money, patronage, mysterious fees, or any other compensations other than the agreed upon hourly rate for the actual time used beyond the agreed upon minimum. Overage payments will not be accepted on the job site, the adjustments are made through the billing of your booking with HireAHelper for adjusted hours charged. Only offered tips are the acceptable form of cash accepted by us on a job, but is in no way expected of you. We serve you to the best of our ability because we want to. If you ever in any way feel you are being asked for money other than the agreed upon terms and rates, contact us immediately!

It was myself and one of my 8 year veteran team members on this project. I also have saved the pictures of the alleged damages. I am happy to share these openly with anyone interested. Essentially, we discovered a quarter-sized tear in the black dust cover upholstery fabric near the hooks where the sectional attaches. It was in a non-visible place, near the connecting hooks where the two pieces come together. No cosmetic or structural damages at all, alleged causing the exact same amount of damage the move cost.

I will now share with you the experience this gentleman had.

We were hired by this gentlemen to help him load his 28' semi-truck trailer to go out of state. He had requested two of us to give him 4 hours of help to get them started, with our focus being on the larger items. We stayed in communication up to the day of his project, as well as the morning of with accurate updates of our arrival.
We made it that day on the early side of the requested time frame. We proceeded to introduce ourselves, set up some special gear we brought for a later project challenge, and became acquainted with the project at hand. The home was in a bit of array, packing was still occurring, most the large items were still covered, but we were still about to get a vision of the goals.
We then put in 2 solid hours of work. At this point we were able to get a better gauge on things.
My 10 years of on site experience gave me the foresight to see this was going to be one full trailer! I could also tell we were not going to be able to get even all the big stuff in just the 4 hours.
At this point we had a conversation about what would be the best use of the time remaining. We discussed what we could realistically get done in the original 4 hours. We also mentioned that we would be willing to stay longer, if he would like, at the continued hourly rate if he wanted to hire us beyond that. After reviewing where each of the options would leave us, he determined the best balance was to go 1 additional hour over, with the focus to really be those bigger items they would not be able to handle.

After we met that 5 hour obligation, there was still a few larger things that time did not allow for. In the final hour, we were being reminded of the importance of not going over the 5 hours due to budget issues. I continually reassured them I am managing the clock, there will be no charged beyond the 5 hours. When the time had expired, my team member and I decided mutually we would be willing to donate an extra 45 minutes to getting the last few items that we knew they had no ability to handle. No charges or money was asked for during this time, we just felt it to be the right thing to do.

We did three walk throughs at the end, touching base on what was left and offering my advice on the best way to handle what they had remaining. After confirming a third time the project was to a manageable point for them, we wished them our best, and shook hands.
They then surprised us with a $40 tip!

Thank you for taking your time, please let us know how we can improve to deliver you an even better experience!
