If i could give this outfit negative stars, i would. The movers themselves (Adam & Antonio) were Great, poor guys. However, their management borders on CRIMINAL.
I'd scheduled 3 movers for a large job, but only 2 showed up. Felt bad when i had to work them Extra Hard to get it done/meet the total hours booked & stay on schedule (as I had just a few days to unpack the new house before returning to complete repairs on the old house we're trying to sell in another state).
Then, w/ no explanation why, their own employer STIFFED these hard workers & never paid them for the job. Blue Sky simply stopped taking their calls. And now I can't seem to reach them, either (remember, I'm a paid-in-full customer, and even i can't get a call back).
Now, I've agreed to be a witness in the unpaid workers' court case as they sue Blue Sky for the pay they certainly worked VERYA hard to earn. Not quite what I want to do following an out-of-state move, but I also hate to see good, hardworking people be cheated. Esp when 1 of them is a father-of-3 doing his best to support his family.
Before I released payment to this vendor via Hire-a-Helper (not yet knowing that they'd cheated their workers), Blue Sky "management"
also tried (& failed) to charge me $130.34 Extra, due to the OT required b/c 1 of their own staff had no-showed. I had to contact Hire-a-Helper myself to get that mess cleared up, as apparently Blue Sky has no customer service staff, only an owner/operator, his receptionist/wife, and a bunch of mistreated staff who only work a few jobs then quit b/c they don't receive the pay they were promised!
I'm also reporting this outfit to the EEOC & BBB, as well as filing a complaint here. My advice: Steer Clear of "Blue Sky", which should be rechristened as "Dark Cloud"!! >;-(

Do not choose Blue Sky Movers. They called to confirm the night before and the day of our move. At 11:30, they assured us that they would arrive between 12:30 and 1pm, but at 1:10pm a HireAHelper representative called to say they told them they couldn't come because they were in a different state. They never contacted us at all. This company is unreliable and unprofessional.

Blue Sky movers were friendly and skilled. We were called immediately after booking their services to confirm the appointment and make sure we were on the same page. I really appreciate that they kept us up to date, calling to confirm the appointment the day of and to let us know when exactly they were going to arrive. The movers unloaded our truck efficiently and carefully, no complaints!

I most certainly would NOT use Blue Sky Movers again. When I arrived home after picking up the uhaul at 10:15a, I DID notice that someone was listening to music in the parking lot in their car. 2 movers were supposed to arrive between 11a and 12p. I received a call from the owner about 10min to 11a that one of the workers had car trouble and he was sending the other worker to pick them up. The car waiting drives off. I received a couple more inaccurate updates on when the movers would show. The original mover returns about 5min to 1p with a 2nd mover who was clearly a high school kid - less experienced and hitting my apartment walls. Long story short, the mover who showed up early was wonderful. Who Blue Sky chose to send as a replacement and how John managed this situation was not. In spite of the 2nd mover, the 1st mover still got the job done in 1.5 hours (paid for 2hrs - minimum requirement). Blue Sky (John) also seemed to fail to communicate the close-out/payment process adequately to his movers. If it weren't for the 1st mover, this would have been a miserable experience. John DID offer a discount on future services if I booked directly with Blue Sky... not happening. HireAHelper is a great site, but I would be hesitant to use the service again if it seems I could too often end up with a less than professional moving company in the listing.

Blue Sky did a great job. I accidentally signed up for a 12am slot and someone called me immediately to check that I didn't mean noon (I had). Then, my movers' previous job ran overtime so the owner, John, got in touch with me and sent another team to help me out so that I could return my uhaul on time. Overall, super responsive company, and very professional, careful movers. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

Despite a delay in the delivery of our POD, John and his team were flexible and accommodating. They showed up when when the POD arrived and worked very hard, taking excellent care of our belongings. They were very polite and made sure boxes and furniture were unloaded into the proper places. We would definitely use them in the future.

Communication was good on arrival time, a tad bit off of scheduled window, but kept me posted. The hustle was good, got the job done in under 2 hours with no damage, teamwork was great.

John and his team were outstanding! I booked John at the last minute (for a Sunday) and they were able to accommodate my request. John was very responsive via text and kept me apprised regarding arrival time. When they arrived he introduced his team - they were all extremely professional and courteous. They worked extremely hard and unloaded a 26' ft truck like champs. They worked quickly and hard. If I could give them a higher rating I would. I highly recommend them!
