Movers arrived on time. Movers were courteous. We had them pack multiple PODS containers. My rating is the way it is because the group was rather young. Nothing against providing opportunities for young adults but out of the 5-6 movers only one was coordinating the move. At times the other movers were sitting and not helping and i assume because of the inexperience with loading containers. We also needed the movers to disassemble a piece of furniture and one of them couldn't get multiple bolts loose. So instead of using different tools he kept using what he had and stripped MULTIPLE bolts. Movers came with limited tools for the job. The job was completed but this piece of furniture had to be damaged to place inside the PODS due to their error.

I can't thank the Lord enough for blessing me with such an amazing moving company. I came all the way across the country to load up storage units to have them shipped almost 2,000 miles away. The initial moving company that we initially had canceled on us at the last minute. We then had a $5,000 move at risk. J&M Moving company then stepped in, took on the job at a really great price and did exceptional work. They are very reliable stand by their word and very easy to stay in contact with. This company came very prepared for the job with the number of staff members needed and equipment to have the job done in the expected amount of time successfully. They also cleary informed us of what needs to be done on our end to help with the move becoming a successful comfortable move. They are exceptionally hard workers. They were working from start to finish to have the job done in the expected allotment of time. The entire crew was very professional, respectful, very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. If I were to ever have to move anything again in the Portland area I would definitely use them. This is definitely a five star company! Thank you J&M Movers, you guys definitely deserve the 5 star rating! I thank the Lord for meeting you.

Great crew very respectful the team had a great attitude. They were VERY CARFUL with evey item. However; their was a big problem in communication with SML who referred me to J& M Moving. I contracted for two hours. After the two hours the crew wanted to leave for the next job with my moving was half way done. I was told by SML if I needed additional time just to have the team keep working and they would recalculate the total hours worked. Well...there was a stop to the loading of the truck for 1 1/2 hours until a new crew could come. This then created a problem for me to be out of my house (under contract) which created a lot of stress for me and the new owners not being able to move in. This set me back several hours of me being on my way to the East Coast. My suggestion: get very clear on the 'agreement'. Once that is in place you should have a pleasant and great move!

If you’re looking for a mover, look no further than J & M Moving. These guys are fast, efficient and very courteous. They completely loaded a 8 foot x 8 foot x 16 foot POD in less than 2-1/2 hours and packed it to the ceiling. They know how to make the best use of a small space. I’m a very satisfied customer.

My favorite part about being a mover is meeting new people and getting that work out from all the heavy lifting.
