Major Neighborhoods in Santa Barbara

A unique, beautiful blend of Mediterranean influences and modern refinement make Santa Barbara one of California's most sought-after cities. The Santa Ynez Mountains serve as a scenic backdrop to this central coast city. Visit State Street to indulge in local wine, delicious food, and charming boutiques. You’re also near plenty of attractions, including the Santa Barbara Zoo, Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, and so much more. Because this city is so busy, you’ll want to hire an experienced Santa Barbara moving company for an easy shift to your new beachfront home.

Downtown Santa Barbara

Downtown Santa Barbra is the city’s cultural, historic, and business district rolled into one. In the heart of this neighborhood is Paseo Nuevo, known as an outdoor shopping destination with tiled courtyards and retailers galore. If you’re itching to see a Broadway musical, a visit to the historical Granada Theatre is a wise choice. Grab a gelato cone or a nice glass of wine while you walk the streets of the Santa Barbara Public Market, a favorite spot for locals. Make your move a smooth one when you hire experienced Santa Barbara movers to help you settle into your new home.

Isla Vista

Isla Vista is a college community on a coastal bluff that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Because of its young population, there’s always plenty to do here, whether hitting up the annual Earth Day Festival, the Chilla Vista Festival, or catching the Island View Classic bike races. Head over to Del Playa Drive for a day of bike riding as you follow the trails to Sands Beach. If you’re moving here to attend the University of California Santa Barbara or for the scenic views, choose a skilled moving company in Santa Barbara that can find their way to your new place.

Mission Canyon

Mission Canyon is just north of downtown Santa Barbara, where outdoor activities, ocean views, and mountains abound. Spend the day at Mission Rose Gardens or explore the inspiring Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and surround yourself with all of California's natural beauty. Head closer to the city for a tour of the Santa Barbara Mission, then return to your neighborhood retreat for a fabulous meal at a favorite local hotspot, The Shop Kitchen. Because Mission Canyon has winding, narrow streets, experienced movers in Santa Barbara are your best bet for a smooth relocation.

The Mesa

Go full beach lifestyle at The Mesa. Chill out at Shoreline Park or La Mesa Park, and soak up the sun while you enjoy a nice lunch. Residents flock to Mesa’s Lazy Acres to shop for organic food, local produce, and freshly prepared goodies. Many locals in this neighborhood attend Santa Barbara City College, but there’s a diverse mix of people here, ranging from busy professionals to retired couples. If you’re looking to move here, hire skilled Santa Barbara moving services to get you to your new home near Cliff Drive and Meigs Road.

Such a great job and easy to work with. They came with appropriate tools and equipment to get the job done as swiftly as possible. They were able to load a numerous amount of boxes as well as furniture into our PODs and organized everything well. We did the minimum 2 hours and they got the job done swiftly in 1 and 1/2. I can not recommend them enough.

These guys were great! They were right on time, they brought dollies that were helpful and they packed that U-haul like the wildest game of Tetris you’ve ever seen. When we unpacked we were even more in awe and nothing was crushed or broken. They were so helpful and great at their jobs!
