They were disrespectful. I needed dressers moved from the living room to the bedroom. They refused to do anything else. I had to wait for the gas to be shut off at the other place. I have had multiple surgeries on my leg. I will have to carry drawers and move the break from myself. They did apologize and move the dressers but that was it. Complained a lot they did work hard and were honest
Thank you for your feedback. We understand that moving can be a stressful experience, and we’re sorry you were unhappy with the placement of your items. However, we would like to clarify a few details:
Our team arrived at the scheduled start time for your move. It’s crucial for customers to be present during the unloading process to provide direction on where items should be placed. Since you were not available when we arrived, your son provided instructions on where to place everything. Without proper guidance, it becomes challenging to organize items exactly as you would like, especially in a home that was already filled to capacity.
When you arrived toward the end of the move and were unhappy with the placement, we would have gladly adjusted things. However, given the number of items in your home, reorganizing everything would have required an additional 3-4 hours of labor, which we were unable to provide without further payment.
As for your comment about our team’s attitude, we take that very seriously. Our workers always aim to be respectful and professional, even in difficult situations. We understand that you have faced personal challenges, and our team did their best to assist within the time and conditions we had to work with.
We also reached out to offer a resolution and compensation for your concerns, and you indicated you might reconsider your comments, but we did not hear back from you. We're still open to discussing this further if you'd like to reach out.

Derek and his crew were very professional. The ensured the communicated their arrival time and arrived on time, we did a walk through reviewed all rooms. They started to work immediately, putting done mats to keep the floors clean. All I can say is Derek is a Tetras Master, packing the container, securing the load. His crew carefully wrapped and handled all our items. Thanks for taking some stress of a move off us!!!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
After receiving a booking request from a client, I will call the customer to confirm the information is accurate. I will discuss the best possible strategy with the customer that makes them feel the most at ease with the process.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
On the day of the move, you will receive a call with the projected ETA of the movers. Upon arriving at the house we will lay out some flooring protection and then do a brief walkthrough of the house. After the walkthrough, the moving process will begin with gathering supplies. All of the furniture will be padded or shrink-wrapped per the customer's orders.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
If you are interested in saving as much time and money as possible, you can do many things to achieve this. The most time-consuming task is often disassembly or assembling of furniture. We can do any and all tooling but it will be charged hourly like moving. Another way to save time and money is to reserve an elevator if moving into an apartment or storage unit. These facilities usually allow you to request a service key to have exclusive use of the elevator.
What types of moves have you handled?
I have personally been in the moving industry for over 10 years and have experience with a variety of moves. I have done local, long-distance, labor-only, military, and any other moving service you can think of needing. I have done commercial and residential moving during that time as well.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I love seeing someone thrilled with moving into a new home and asking us for the best-kept secrets of Pittsburgh. At Brown's Moving and Storage, we believe that giving back to your community is just as important as the moving process itself. We collect canned goods and donate them to the local food bank. So far this year we have donated 150lbs of food.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All of my fellow professional movers have been in the industry for many years. There will never be someone on the job that is new and doesn't know how to properly move furniture or belongings. That is how damages and accidents happen and it is easily avoidable. There is a rigorous 3 step training program that any new mover must adhere to and complete before going into the field.
