1) they arrived almost 1-hour late.
2) didn't bring the appropriate tools, had to use my own.
3) didn't appear to want to work hard, or keep a reasonable pace. Move ran much longer than it should have, and I was over-charged for the additional booked hours. When the over-charge was discussed, they promised to mail me a refund check, and that was 8-days ago.
4) One of the helpers, kept faking injuries, at least 3 that I was made aware of.
5) I had to work all day Sunday, by myself, just to try to make up for what the other 2 guys failed to do. I accomplished more in 8 hours by myself, at age 59 with a bad back and hip, than these 2 young guys accomplished in 10 hours the day before.
6) No way I would ever consider using these guys again, and I also holding Hire-A-Helper accountable for this also.

I hired Brook's to move me from Franklin, WI to San Antonio, TX. I wasn't sure what to expect for such a long distance move, but JT made it easy. He was responsive and helpful every step of the way, and (this was a pleasant surprise to me given the distance involved) everything arrived intact and organized just as I had marked it. JT towed my car behind his truck, and that went perfectly too. I would hire JT again and recommend his company to others looking for moving labor help.

Brooks is led by JT and impressed me by the excellent communication established as soon as I requested their services. An email was followed up with a phone call and I was put at ease and more confident in proceeding with Brooks. They arrived on time. Also was able to communicate with a live person via phone before they arrived. They arrived ready to go and were able to quickly evaluate the situation and proceed. The two men worked hard and were polite and respectful of us and our things. Would definitely use Brooks again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Upon receiving your work order, we will enter your information into our system, which will generate an email to you, informing you of your booking. You will at the same time receive an email from HireAHelper letting you know that we have accepted your booking. This way both HireAHelper & Noah's Services will be letting you know of any changed to your move.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We do everything we can to arrive on time, meaning the start of your one hour arrival window, yet if your move is later in the day, as you can imagine some moves do not go as planned and run over. This may cause us to arrive a little later then planned. We will contact you prior to being late. Yet once the crew has arrived, they will ask you for a walk through of what is going on, they will come up with a game plan, and THEN punch in from their phones at that time.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The most important step in your move has nothing to do with boxes or tape! Make sure you are in communication with your movers! The more we know, is the more we can help you. If the day of the move, things you said would happen don't happen, it will result in more time meaning higher cost.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have helped people move one item across the street and across the country, we have also helped customers move their entire home across the street and across the country.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Being a mover, you never do the same things twice, ever! Even when moving the same customer, the weather, the trucks, the time of day is somehow different. So, instead of going to a job where you do the same old thing every day, moving is the opposite!
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members get paid for, hand over hand, training for the first 40 hours, online training, and provided with a mentor to oversee their learning, before they are ever put on a job without said mentor.
