They came out very quickly to replace the movers that didn’t show up. They were very fast and finished the job quickly and efficiently! Moved my two bedroom apartment and helped me throw out the unwanted furniture in the back yard! I will use them again if I need to!

Unbelievable packing skills!! Daniel and his team meticulously loaded my 26ft truck as if it was their own home. Very pleasant, professional and extremely efficient. Best moving experience I have ever had!

Really appreciate Daniel and Jose, they bailed me out of a bad situation where I scheduled a week late by mistake. They were willing to work with me though, and they helped me get everything moved even though it was a little more than I thought it would be. Overall, really great guys, very communicative, very chill and fun to work with. 10/10 would recommend

Daniel and his team are incredible. They saved my long-distance move! When PODS failed to deliver the container to my house, I was supposed to load my belongings into it, and Daniel was scheduled to help the next day. Due to PODS' mistake, we had to change plans last minute and move everything to the container at the PODS warehouse. This meant Daniel not only had to help me move my stuff, but he also had to rent a truck and transport my belongings to the PODS warehouse, where he then loaded the container. I wasn't sure if Daniel could handle this on such short notice (less than 24 hours), but he did it flawlessly.

On the day of the move, unfortunately, a heatwave hit Long Island with dangerously high temperatures. It was also Juneteenth, a holiday. When I didn't see Daniel and his team at the scheduled time, I started to worry they might not be coming because of the holiday. However, Daniel texted me to keep me updated about the traffic delay from Manhattan to Long Island. He was very professional. When they arrived, they carefully handled my belongings and even helped secure them in the PODS container using his safety straps. I am impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. Thus I strongly recommend them!

Avoid at all costs, they just did not show up, no notice at all. They were supposed to come between 1-2pm, at 2pm I tried calling multiple times, left a voicemail, nothing. Ended up calling back hire a helper customer support and was informed the crew can no longer make it. I was told that they sent us info, but we did not receive anything at all. In fact, I even received a text that the crew is on the way! Thankfully, the hire a helper customer line was able to get us a completely different crew (not associated with Astra moving) the same day, otherwise we would have been completely screwed.

RESPONSE: don’t take this seriously?!? Sure don’t take a no show with zero notice seriously, sounds like a very mild issue.. Those 5 star reviews mean nothing if you don’t actually show up. The “excuses” make no logical sense for the following reasons: 1. Called the order above mine and rescheduled to the next day? Clearly that wasn’t the “wrong order” to call since rescheduling was needed? Great for the person who was actually informed if that’s even true 2. This was a very quick response to my 1 star review, within minutes, so clearly the phone was on hand to pick up my multiple calls and respond to a voice mail I left? Even a text would have been better than nothing. 3. “Stomach bug” so painful, still overcoming at 11pm (around the time I received the response to my review) yet you rescheduled another moving job to the next day although surely you won’t recover from it SO quickly given how painful it is? I call BS on all of this. Even if the stomach bug story is true, the responsibility and accountability is lacking. But my guess is they did not want to make it out to Long Island and ghosted until the review came in. There are plenty of great other options out here to choose from. Anyway it’s up to the customers how “seriously” they want to take this review.

Hi Kristina, I did contact what I thought was your order. It was the order above yours’ phone number at 7:30AM. It’s unfortunate you feel this way. This is an extremely rare occurrence, as I had a stomach bug that I’m still overcoming now. It’s painful. I communicated early to what I thought was the right number and asked her if she can do tomorrow. Again, I’m sorry for any inconvenience this caused. Everyone please don’t take this too seriously as this is a very atypical case. Bad luck on both ends. You can see all of our 5 star reviews below.

There is no BS on anything Kristina. I wanted to reschedule, you didn’t even after we got ahold of each other finally. We’re professionals who take our work seriously. Half of our reviews here are from very happy Long Island customers so your whole argument is moot. We go out there all the time. Again, this was just bad luck on both ends . You can keep editing your review as you have already 4 times to make us look bad, this is my final one. It’s done. Good luck to you in the new house or where you’re moving to.

Two awesome gentlemen helped pack the moving truck which was to small for all my belongings. Daniel and I can't remember the other gentleman's name both very respectful. Daniel said we can get most of your belongings in this truck I didn't really believe him, but they packed that truck with just about everything! I was amazed and super happy!!! Great job guys!!!

Daniel and his team at Astra did a great job. They came prepared and completed everything in a timely manner, in time for the moving cube to be picked up before the end of day. They were also attentive to which items to be disposed of versus packed. Would definitely use them again.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

We arrive on time, ready to work. We're focused until we get the job done, professionalism and courtesy is our mantra.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Please have everything boxed up and taped. Please have all things taken off of and inside furniture pieces. Please also have mattresses wrapped up. If you can too, please secure parking for your truck/POD as close to your house as possible.

What types of moves have you handled?

We've done it all, from local to long distance, office moves as well as bringing your things to a storage. As long as we can move it, we'll do it. Time or distance isn't a problem.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

We enjoy manual labor as well as giving our customers a service they need. Making our customers smile and feel happy after our work is something we take immense pride in.
