These gentlemen had a bad day. To summarize, the movers were late to start, movers damaged the rental property and took way too long. Plus I'm dealing with landlords that are furious that their rental property was damaged and still not resolved as of this writing.
First off, they were late. They missed their targe between 8am and 9pm by an hour. Then I was given excuses by the movers & the support team. It was raining so the streets were wet, there was traffic and the roads were narrow. Leave early! Big difference between starting at 8am and 10am!
I hired 4 movers to move an 700 square foot house. This took nearly 8 hours! I've hired multiple movers over the years and it always takes longer than expected. However, I've had 4 & 5 bedroom houses in less time with less movers.
There were some items not moved either. Just a few things here and there like curtains, pictures, bathroom items and the freezer/refrigerator wasn't emptied. Also, it was noted that when they packed they would pack different rooms in the same box even if there were items that were in the same room. Can't wait to unpack kitchen items in the living room. Of everything that went down today, these are the least of our issues.
This factor is unusual but is the main reason that I hired movers. My daughter is 7 months pregnant and unfortunately needs to move. If there is one thing a mother to be doesn't need is additional stress from her movers and her existing landlord.
The movers had an accident when they were leaving. They had been warned about not driving over the septic system. Unfortunately, they drove over it and broke through the septic tank. Raw sewage was exposed and this caused the bathrooms for rental house and the landlord's to become unusable until fixed. I'm still waiting on getting that resolved. Now I have to deal with the landlords threatening to sue or at least listen to their complaints.
The front tire of the truck was stuck in the septic tank requiring a tow truck to be called in. This took 5 or 6 hours to unwedge the truck. Since they started late, they didn't get to unload until much later in the day. We had to get a hotel room for our daughter.
No, I didn't tip the movers for this move. I understand they wouldn't be happy about it but no reason for giving our daughter grief over it as you leave. Start to finish not a good impression. What service deserved more compensation? This move already took twice as long as it should, and that doesn't include the 6 hours lost waiting for the truck to be dislodged.
Accidents happen. But the team effort failed on this one. Tomorrow there will be a better move. I do hope they have a better day and with them the best.
But for now, I have to deal with hopefully the septic system being taken care of and the landlords. We paid way too much for this move. We should get a big refund off of this. I would not use them again and I would not use HireAHelper.

Absolutely perfect. They were professional in every way and definitely know what they are doing. Very prompt, efficient, strategical, and remember where everything goes. They probably did it in half the time it would have taken me to move everything. 100% couldn't recommend them enough.

They showed up to the job unprepared. My service request specifically stated I had a piano and paid for extra services for that. Couldn't get a hold of a manager to speak to directly. The main guy was rude to my dad after he came to rescue them with the right equipment to use. I was asked to purchase equipment they needed. One guy left the job to get supplies and I'm still waiting for the refund from his time away from the job. I instructed them I only wanted the big items moved and I only had them for a specific amount of time which they were also not made aware of from Management. This was the worst experience I've ever had and will not use them again.

Team came on time. They well prepared for this job and they worked very clean and hard. People were very much respectful to my property and goods. If I need to move again I will call them again. Actually it was the second time I used their service and I never regretted that I had this company to do this job.
