This is the second time I've used Utah's Mighty Movers. The first time I was blown away by their service and efficiency. It's because of that experience that I chose to use them again, even though other movers within the site were less expensive.
Long story short - I was disappointed not to receive the same exceptional service that I did during my first move with them. Had I known, I may have chosen a different company. It's not that they did a bad job, it just wasn't the stellar experience I'd received previously, and I felt that I overpaid for the level of service I did receive.
A few of the issues from this move are listed below. After pushing my appointment time back to allow a buffer between appointments, they were still running behind. They called/text to keep me updated, but it was an additional stress to try to balance a moving target, especially with other people helping as well. They did not take the same care with my belongings, and I found several items that had been scratched, etc. during the move. Nothing crazy, but still disappointing. They were not able to manage space in the truck as well and we helped/redid some of their tie-downs to better secure items on a flatbed trailer. Even though they were running behind, they still finished on time, early even, but I still paid full for the full time.

Definitely not professional movers had no idea how to pack a moving truck. All of these items have been moved three times over the last five years. Nothing has ever broken. They managed to break everything that was glass including hard to break ceramic pots. All they had to do was move fully wrapped items from a barn into a moving truck. It took them four hours for three people to pack a 24 foot truck. I had to direct them how to pack a truck. They spent most of the time looking at things, not knowing how to pack them into the truck. And then I was charged $900+ - the most expensive I’ve ever paid for a pack. Definitely wouldn’t use them again - too young and inexperienced.
There are so many things in this review that are just not accurate. First of all, my movers are very professional and have packed hundreds of trucks; they have developed an eye to pack a truck in a way to protect customers' items. Anyone who has moved will agree that it takes skill to pull it off, and my movers have developed that skill. (If you don't believe me, look at our reviews.) However, when a customer hovers over my movers, doubts their professionalism because of their "young age," doubts and corrects every decision they make, and tells them how to place certain items while insisting that they pack everything to the very top of the truck when they had concerns that items would be damaged if they did what you were asking, naturally, things are going to get broken. Not because my movers pack a truck incorrectly, but because you do not have the skill my "young" movers have to pack a moving truck.
Second of all, we were very accommodating to meet your request to change the original start time. We pushed the start time back, affecting all of our other jobs for the day. Not only did we do that for you, but you were late, putting us behind schedule even more.
So, I do not appreciate you leaving me such a low review when the concerns you had were not because my movers could not pack a truck. Rather, it was because you would not allow them to do what they do.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
After a customer books with us, we will give them a follow up call within 24 hours prior to their booking. We will go over the details and the needs of their move and confirm all of the information. We will then send them reminders and a liability agreement via email prior to the move. If the customer has questions about our service/their booking/billing, they are welcome to reach out to our customer service line.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
When moving day comes, we will send out a email with all the details of the move as well as a phone call/text from our team leader confirming the time and address. Once we arrive for the move, we will once again go over our liability form to make sure everyone is on the same page. Then, you can leave it up to us to get everything loaded and packed, or you can join in and assist if desired.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Depending on what your needs are, we can either pack your home for you or you can have everything boxed up and labeled ready for us to move it from your home to the truck. We can provide blankets and padding for an additional cost.
What types of moves have you handled?
I have done long distance, short distance, offices and museums. Anything you can think of, I have probably moved it. I have learned a lot through my experience moving customers and I am excited to serve you with whatever your needs are.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part about being a mover is having the opportunity to meet new people everyday. It also gives me a good feeling knowing that I am there to help families out on their big and stressful day.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Far too many movers end up getting injured through improper lifting techniques, so one thing we pride ourselves on is teaching our employees proper techniques and provide them with proper tools to move heavy equipment/belongings. In addition to this, we teach them how to properly pack moving trucks so that damage does not occur during the move from house to house. We also provide training in how to protect the houses from damage while moving large items.
