These guys were great, they called and ask if they can come earlier which was nice. They were prepared for the job and had very good attitude and they asked questions when they didn’t know where to put stuff. They assembled 3 beds and a crib in time and did not damage anything in my property. I will definitely use them again.

I have used Hire A Helper many times and never had an issue until now. I hired Morris Moving over a month ago for my move and booked them for 6 hours. They did show up on time, however one guy didn't seem like he really wanted to be there and the other was wearing slide on shoes. I had a two story townhome they were moving, didn't seem like the appropriate footwear for moving a 1600 sq ft two story townhome. I showed them around as to what was being moved and when we walked into my bedroom the one guy who didn't seem like he wanted to work asked if my dresser was being moved to. I said yes, his response was "oh sh*t". Didn't feel like that was appropriate. Then as they started working I kept hearing them say they were only here for two hours. I said I hired y'all for 6 hours. I was told they were not informed of that and at the two hour point one guy was going to have to go drop off the other because he wasn't able to stay that long. I said okay, lets just see what we can do. At that point they started working decently, my brother-in-law stepped in and was doing all the heavy lifting with one of the guys and the other loaded the boxes, in which he didn't stack a lot of them well and dropped many of them on the ground as he rolled it to the trailer. They got about 80% of my townhome on the first load and moved to my new house - this was my two hours. I told them I was done and they could go. I wanted a refund for the remaining 4 hours. This was again after many of my boxes were dropped on the way into my house again! When the gentleman in charge brought me the paperwork to sign I realized he had completely lied to me about not knowing they should be there for only two hours. The paperwork he had me sign clearly stated the cost of the first two hours and the fact I had added on 4 more hours. He told me he had received that paperwork the night before. So clearly he knew how long he was supposed to be on the job. To top everything off he also called me several hours later to find out if I had closed out the ticket because he didn't know why the money that was owed to him wasn't on his card. This was not my responsibility and he should have never called me, the customer, to find out that information. I had closed out the ticket but only after calling Hire A Helper and talking to them to readjust the price because I wasn't paying for a full 6 hours when they only were there for 2. I had already called the company number and expressed my disappointment with the guys they had sent. I was told it would be taken care of and adjusted, however I wasn't signing paperwork to pay the full amount when they weren't there the entire time. Needless to say I was very disappointed with my service especially when my family and I had to finish moving the rest of my townhome and a storage unit which I had not planned on. I will not be using this company again.

Try to make sure boxes are sealed and ready to be moved, if there are any items not to be moved please make sure they are marked.

Our Movers are sent out with veteran movers with over 5 years experience to learn the ropes, the do's and don'ts of moving.

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
