After 7 years in business, our goal at Helpful Movers has always been to make your move as stress free as it can be, all of our crews are courteous, polite, and helpful with anything needing to be done. We always treat your items with the utmost care just like they were our own. We disassemble/reassemble furniture except reassembly of cribs and bunkbeds due to safety. We cover anywhere from Seattle to Olympia to Bremerton. We offer out of state moves and we can also supply a company truck for in state moves if needed, please call for pricing. Crew arrived 1.5 hours late and minus 1 person, who reportedly had a flat tire on his way to the job. They had shrink wrap but no tools to disassemble furniture. They did not come with a dolly. Fortunately, I rented extra. They were not organized and there was not a lead. One guy stayed on his phone 60% of the time leaving the other two to the majority of work. My husband and I did A LOT of the organizing, lifting and moving in an attempt to meet deadlines and to stay within the time we requested. Had to ask repeatedly for items to be wrapped with pads and plastic. Even then, a lot still loaded unwrapped. Lots of bumps in doorways. Expensive furniture left with scratches and little respect. When I confronted two of the guys with the way our furniture was being handled, he replied that some bumps/scratches were to be expected. At the end of the job, they were not able to put our bed frame back together as they had left the screws at our previous home. Spoke with James during and after the move. We were compensated for not having the one guy there and were not charged for going above the 5 hours that we requested. James was very apologetic for our horrible experience. I would not use them again. The two guys did work hard, but not enough experience to work without a lead. If using this company, make sure there will be a lead on site, that they have the necessary equipment and that James or someone drops in to check on the progress.

Four guys came, as per requested. They all were on time, courteous, and extremely professional. They started by getting organized as a team, and jumped in working together. I hired them for 6 hours, based on the number of pods I had rented. They had completed the job in a little over four. Things were wrapped with blankets, cellophane, and treated as if it was their own personal property. When I said they worked fast, they did not sacrifice quality of packing. I have heard many horror stories about movers, but I can honestly say, I would recommend these guys to my family, friends, or anyone looking for great movers. In fact, I have recommended them to my realtor who is always looking for good recommendations.

2 arrived late & then tried to leave early to get to next job. They couldn't because their car broke down, so they ended up staying & moving more stuff anyway.

They were personable & worked hard carrying & moving boxes & furniture but were not good at loading & packing in the PODS. Obviously not sure how much will shift when PODS are moved.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

We will give you a call as soon as possible to get all of the details for your move confirmed and also go through your move with you to discuss any additional information that may happen for your move. Also we will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding your move.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Once we arrive onsite we will do a brief walk through and then we will get started by prepping any furniture for loading and proceed to loading your Pod, Truck or Trailer.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

The best way to prepare for your move is always organization, having walkways cleared for the movers so as not to trip over anything. If we are unloading a great time saver is to take post it notes label each room #1,#2 etc then as we are bring boxes in you can say that goes to room # this makes it much easier for you and saves you time and money!

What types of moves have you handled?

We have handled every move there is, we do in-state, residential, commercial, industrial, out of state, in home, remodels, we also do staging as well!

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

By far we love doing everything we can to take the stress out of your move, we know moving is a very stressful thing to do, so we want to do everything we can to make whatever part we are taking in it to be stress free.

What training do you provide your crew members?

All of our employees go through training on jobs as an extra crew member to learn everything they need to know before being sent out. It is imperative that they learn how to handle your belongings properly before they are put on as a full time member of our company.
