Overall I was happy to have the help with moving the items out of my house I couldn’t get on my own. However... after the time I was recommended was used, along with an extra hour the job was far from finished. The actual job of packing my pod was very disappointing. We early came to the conclusion there was not enough space. However after they left and didn’t have a choice but to look in the pod and see a lot of empty space which could have been much better utilized. I had to unpack the majority of the pod, repack myself and that took less time then the 2 helpers had to load it. I wasn’t able to pack it much tighter and free up a ton more space at which point I was able to get the rest of my items in the pod. I won’t be using again, and will be inquiring about a refund.

The two helpers were pretty good; they worked quickly and fairly efficiently. However, there was a problem with logistics. I scheduled for 4 hours. When they arrived, they told me they had another job booked in 2 hours. I had them call their supervisor to straighten it out and he gave them permission to tack on one more hour, so that made 3 hours of labor available out of 4 booked. We didn't get everything done in the three hours.

We hired two guys to unload our Pod into a locker. Our experience was very unsatisfactory due to the lack of training these men had on how to safely move and load our possessions. Zack was lazy and seemed to drop several items including a glass top range off a flat bed dollie. Zack never showed any concern about his carelessness or whether it was damaged which we won’t know until sometime in the future. Several items were scratched due to their just shoving things on top of each other. About a quarter of the way into the move we had to change to a bigger unit for space so they had to remove a few items down the hall about 5 units which didn’t seem to be a problem. We hired them for 2 hours plus were quoted an extra time cost if needed, we needed 3 hours. After commenting to them that if they rearranged one section we could get more in, Zack said they could not as they had another job in a tempered tone. I told him I would be letting the company know of their lack of packing training and carelessness. He had a fit and walked off the job saying he was calling the office. As he walked out he called me a “f’n *****” twice. I am in my late 60’s and do not talk like that nor do I deserve to be talked to like that by someone I hired. At that point he sat by his car for another 40 minutes while the other worker, Abraham, finished the job as best he could. He was respectful and worked hard but got very little help from Zack. Because of their lack of packing skills our unit is a total jumbled mess as they just threw things in at the end and will have to be unloaded and reloaded in the future. This move turned into a nightmare. I think Zack should be let go as he certainly is no asset to your company.

Mover's response:
Thank you Gail for your feedback, it's funny how much you want to tell me about how bad Abraham and Zachary were yet the review right above yours was a load into pod and that customer was serviced immediately after your job by Abraham and Zachary. Gail you rented to small of a storage unit, then after we told you it was to small you still insisted it would work so we tried to load it but no it didn't work! So then you went and rented the next size up which we told you again was not going to be enough, so your answer was to tell the guys how you wanted it packed into the unit despite the guys telling you time and time again that it should not be packed that way! If anything comes out damaged Gail it will only be due to your massively dysfunctional micromanaging skills. You should of rented the proper size storage unit in the first place and not just try to blame the crew for your lack of knowledge!

I was disappointed that they were on the slow side. It took them an hour longer to unload than the guys took to load and the loading guys were doing it in 100+ AZ heat! They were young and on the distracted side. I had to encourage them forward a few times at the end when they were getting tired. One more note: they didn’t bring their own water so one of them asked for a glass of water but all my glasses were still in boxes! I found some so they could have water but that was the mom in me coming out. As professionals they should know better.

They did a good job, moved stuff where it was supposed to be. The only negative is that they were a little slow in moving the stuff out if the pod.
