I scheduled for 3 movers for 3 hours to move my pre-packed home/belongings into pods. I was pleasantly surprised with James initially called me about my move and talked to him about what I needed. My biggest concern was my bigger items and he assured me that they could handle both the move and keeping my items safe. He told him his movers would come equipped with materials to safely wrap and store my belongings. The day of the move I received a few messages from James that his movers were running late but they were on their way. 2.5 hours after they were to arrive, only two young men showed up. I inquired on the 3rd and they told me he was on his way. I was a bit worried as the two men who appeared did not have ANY equipment and told me that they did not have any wrapping materials and they were told to show up and start moving. I called the owner James at that time and he told me that he never said that he would send the movers with wrapping materials and such as we had discussed and had he known there were have been additional fees. I tried to bring him back to our initial conversation by giving details of what we discussed and he told me that he didn't like the way I was coming at him and that if I wanted he could have his "team" leave. Being a single mother and having to be out of the home the next day I told him that this was not an option for me and that I needed them to provide the service that we agreed to. At this time the third young man appeared and spoke with James. I was then told that this young man would go to the local store (less than five miles from my home) and get the materials to wrap my large items (I had moving blankets of my own) and come back. The two young men then started to pack the pods and move my belongings. They did not pack with any precision and detail and were just randomly putting stuff in the pods, not securing anything and not taking care with any of my belongings. I then began to help pack and tried to move things that were placed on delicate items or haphazardly. Approximately 1.5 hours later the third mover that I had hired finally returned from the store empty handed. He stated he couldn't locate any wrapping materials and that they would use the limited amount that I had left. They continued to shove things haphazardly into the PODS for the remaining 1.5 hours left on the contract we had eventually running out of room in my pods and not taking care with any items that they moved. I was so concerned at this point that I did not allow them to move my couch or my tv which were the two items I had asked them to take extra care with. When I called James to discuss he did not want to talk about it any further and said that he had NEVER had any problems with this team in the past. I inquired if they were licensed and insured and he said yes but only for the movers loading from my door to the pod and once it was in the pod and anything beyond that would fall on me for damages. When I got off the phone I asked the "team" how long they had been with this company and two of them said it was their second job with this company and had no prior experience. When the movers were finally done they immediately came to me and demanded payment. Despite the fact that I paid for 3 movers for 3 hours and only got 2 for the first 1.5 hours and despite the fact that they ran out of room due to their inability to properly pack my items, I paid them just so they would leave. I then had to go and hire a moving van to finish moving the rest of my belongings on my own. I have not been offered a refund of any kind nor has anyone from the company reached out to rectify the situation. I will NEVER use this company again and plan to take action once I am settled.

Mover's response:
Wow, you know that is not at all how your move went down! You were told on the phone that you are required through hireahelper to pay for any additional supplies needed ie shrink wrap, rope and padding. In fact you are REQUIRED to supply pads just for insurance purposes for your move through hireahelper! 2nd of all all 3 guys that showed up for your move have worked for this company for over a year. Despite you not having the required materials we still supplied shrink wrap and rope to secure everything. Do not blame us for your lack of space either, you chose to use a cheaper company who's moving crates were only 6x7ft and you had 2 sect sofas that were so big they took up 2 of your crates by themselves. Also not only did we supply 3 guys for your 3hrs we also stayed an additional hour at absolutely no cost to you. You want to complain here but that's all you did from the time of booking, we gave you a professional service at a much cheaper price then you would ever have gotten anywhere else. If you weren't happy with the service we were providing you could of easily asked to have the crew leave and gotten another company but you didn't do that so obviously the service we provided wasn't that bad!

They were early, were gracious and hard workers and I would definitely use them again! I gave them the heaviest items and they were champs about moving them! They were awesome!

Their drive to get done was missing at times. It caused us to be on the job a lot longer. But they were very nice guys and very respectful to me and the client.

Mover's response:
I'm sorry Dennis but you are mistaken, the crew kept reporting to me throughout the job that you were not getting the items off of your semi truck at any significant pace which caused the crew to have to take way longer then your job should have. It actually took so long waiting for you that it caused us to have to reschedule another job. You lacked guidance on how to assemble your cases for display and expected the crew to know how to assemble them. You also told me there was only 1 case and you showed up with 4.

These guys were great! Arrived on time, got done early, knew what they were doing, and made things nice and easy! They were even able to load things so efficiently that we needed one less shipping container than we did in our last move, which was just amazing. If I ever need movers in Washington again they will be my go-to.

I surly hope I got thier names correct. Alex & Abraham were on time, looked at everything they were going to pack, that took maybe 5 minutes . They braced the doors for exits and started packing the POD. They hardly stopped for the time they were here. Super polite and kind. I would surly. Use and recommend this company again.

I picked HireAHelper because they were the best priced and got great reviews. And I am not sorry! They managed to change my order on short notice and the two guys who showed up were not only fast and efficient but friendly too. It was a hot day in Seattle (I know!!!) and they worked fast and hard throughout. They took great care of our move. I would use them again in a flash! A pleasure to work with from the ease of booking to follow up and the actual job. Great business.

The guys showed up on time. The first thing they did was plug in their cell phones and they checked them after every trip to the trailer. They left SO MUCH stuff in my house. It took 4 more packed minivans load after they were "done". Would never use them again.

Mover's response:
The guys showed up on time, filled your first 42ft trailer then waited for the next 42ft trailer had both of them filled in 3hrs which was exactly what you paid for? It is not our fault that after filling 2 42ft trailers that you didn't have any other vessels for us to load? The crew "checking" their phones after every trip from the house will be taken care of but please don't leave reviews with untruths.

Seemed like they were just some random guys, not professionals, but they got the job done in pretty good time.
