The 2 men didn't bring a dolly, they seemed unable to carry heavy boxes and dragged wood furniture damaging about 9 pieces. What they lacked in experience, strength and energy, they tried to make up for with a willingness to do a great job. They had the best attitude and worked hard for 4.5 hours.

Big Men Movers did the same thing to me as in other posts! Dionte assured me that ALL his men had 4 -5 years experience with moving. I was concerned because I had a lot of breakables and wanted assurance that they would handle it right. On the day of the move, 2 guys show up at more door with NO EQUIPMENT! They also informed me that it was only their SECOND time working for Dionte (4-5 yrs experience?? Hired off the streets!!) and they were not provided with any equipment to do the job. Needless to say, what should have been a 2 hour job turned into 4 hours! I had to throw away several of my items, just to make everything fit. I was also harassed by Dionte because I wouldn't call in the order right away to say it was complete (so he could "pay his guys.") This resulted in me filing a claim and Hire a Helper was gracious enough to only charge me for 2 hours of work (as it should have been). Plus, Big Men Movers will be removed from their website. I encourage anyone with bad service to report it and not let anyone BULLY you into calling in an order you are not satisfied with....

Worst moving company lied said they got in car accident, then said we were not home with a 26 ft truck , then said they would get a friend to move for cash , bait and switch told 298 price for 3 hrs 3 men a joke ! They had their friends call from different cell number! Extorted is for $500 cash to get job done same day ! This company never showed up but they had their workers call to steal work away from the moving company to take job away it’s all a scam ! Then these helpers that they hire look like they were homeless showed up with a girl to drive to men with no drives license to drive so u have a idea what u get ! The bottom of barrels broken stuff not packed right wasted space did not fill truck rt had to leave so much furniture behind ! Closing dated had to be done never ever again would I ever ever do nothing with hire a helper / nor this company a hassle ! Only thing was Charleen at hire a helper corporation helped refund my money but it was a nightmare and remember they won’t show up or try to scam u out more money ! Then get the homeless to help u pack because your desperate that day and with a senior citizen u need help ! Sorry had so many good hope for hire a helper and the big men movers never ever again please you been warned u will have a nightmare on your end avoid at all costs ! You may be so sorry. I don’t ever want see no other people get hurt scams but no shoes lies from them ! Thanks terrible not happy!! AVOID AND HAVE NO REASON TO LIE BUT TELL THE TRUTH !!

These guys were great! I am getting up there in age, so this was the first time I'd hired helpers before. I needed help loading a pod and hired four gentlemen for the task. They showed up around 20 minutes earlier than anticipated, moved fast, and were very respectful of myself and my stuff. Dion, the manager, also showed to ensure things were running smoothly. What I planned to be a two hour job, they finished in just over an hour, which amazed me. They went above and beyond, and I would certainly recommend Big Men to anyone needing a terrific work crew!!
