1 person was on time for the loading. Another person was 30 minutes late. The guys had no idea how to load a truck. In fact, when I unloaded it with a separate crew, they were shocked at how it had been loaded. I would have spoken up and possibly tried to manage it myself, but I was inside staging boxes and furniture with my wife and kids so that we wouldn't be there all day loading the truck. During the process of loading multiple pieces of furniture with shelves were turned up on end, allowing the drawers to empty and shelves to fall off. When going down the stairs with a box spring one of the gentlemen was almost hit in the head and could have been seriously injured. Fortunately my wife was there to assist. There was also 1 small hole put in the wall on the stairs.
Upon unloading the truck there were a few items damaged due to the loading and packing. I have had good luck with your company in the past (and with the unloading on this same move) but this was really a poor experience.

I would not recommend them at all. One of the workers did the majority of the work while his coworker stalled and stood around. They were less than professional overall and damaged several pieces of furniture. While the damages were minor all of the damage was due to carelessness. In addition to this I was charged for 2.5 hours not 2. Yes the workers were there for 2.5 hours BUT at least 30 minutes of that time was spent standing around. This is my third occasion to use Hire A Helper and I have used different providers all three times. The other two vendors were excellent and professional. This vendor was not good.
