This company charged me a rate for two hours work and additional charges for anything over that. The packers/laborers were late in arriving. A hand dolly and furniture pads were provided. Father and son team, they would not use the hand cart that was provided, they took one box at a time from the house to the truck and stopped constantly to chat. They flipped my furniture on the side and dragged it from the bedroom to the front door (tiled floor) and complained that my dresser was too heavy. Despite that they were done in one hour and twenty three minutes. They were definitely not professional movers and I think that I was charged a ridiculous amount to move a bedroom suite and 27 boxes. I know that my dresser is heavy that is why I didn’t mind paying for experienced/professional service, but I got chalk instead of cheese????

Hi Pauline, we would like to apologize first for your experience. HIREAHELPER allows you an hour window. So for example if you're scheduled from 10:00am-11:00am movers are allowed to show up anywhere between the time. If they show up 10:45am they are still in their arrival window. Our Crew ALWAYS communicate with each other in order to get the job done effectively and quickly as you stated. Without communicating which way to lift or turn, items would get damaged. There were no damages reported on your move, so we're not understanding the comment about our Pro Movers dragging your furniture. And once again neither you or the Movers Reported any furniture being damaged. Our prices are the lowest on HireAHelper for your area and HireAHelper allows you to choose your moving company. We did not charge extra for heavy items that weren't mentioned or on the estimate. We recommend that you communicate any heavy items with us upon initial contact so our Professional Movers will be prepared, equipped and ready for your move. You never mentioned to us that the Movers were a problem as we communicated with you through out your move. We communicate with customers the day of the move just to make sure the Move goes smoothly without any problems. We are at a 4.75 in Tampa on HireAHelper and in Miami. You can check out our reviews in both cities. We take pride in our Gold Standard Policies and accept all criticism with an open mind. We also understand you can't please everyone no matter how hard you work. So thank you for your time and giving us an opportunity to move you quickly and without any damages reported.
