Pro Movers Express came to the rescue when our original Hire A Helper movers were a no-call no-show.
Everything went pretty smooth until I checked the loading in the truck. In my adult life I have had seven cross-country moves and nine local moves. In that time, I have developed a sense of how much can fit in a moving truck. My kids have spent decades making fun of (then later appreciating) my Tetris truck-loading skills. Now 54, I opted to hire professionals to load my modestly-furnished 1400sf townhouse into a 26' truck. This was my mistake. This crew was unable to fit everything. We had to rent a second truck (16') and rather than pay the movers extra to load it, my wife and I ended up loading it ourselves.
The next day, Pro Movers was scheduled to arrive between 4-5pm to unload. At 4:20 I called to make sure everything was on schedule, and discovered they had totally forgotten about us and were hours away. They eventually arrived and began the unload at 7pm, and there was a noticeable lack of urgency in their work. Despite having a handtruck with them, one man moved one box at a time to the back of the truck and one mover carried one box at a time into the house. They definitely worked like they were getting paid by the hour.
I was very thankful Pro Movers (especially Zane) stepped up after my no-call no-show, but ultimately was not impressed.

I gave them a wonderful rating because the workers were. They called ahead and we're on time, very mannerly, and pleasant. The order called for to bring tools for some assembly and they had none. After speaking with Cory at pro movers,he agreed that it was his fault and apologized and offered to come back at no charge,. All worked out because a few tools were found and things assembled as requested. This wasn't a bad experience for me and I would use them again.
