The movers did a good job; HOWEVER, they weren’t honest about the time actually spent at the job. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the company practices DECEPTIVE billing methods. I signed up for a moving job online. I immediately received a confirmation email. A few minutes later, I received a 2nd confirmation email. I figured it had been sent in error. Wrong! Each confirmation email message contains a separate job number. Upon completion of the moving job, I completed the DocUSign contract authorizing payment. Several minutes later, I received a telephone call inquiring about the service provided and then requesting payment. I explained that I had just completed payment online. The billing representative stated that they didn’t see it so, they processed the charge again. Upon reviewing my credit card statement, I saw the duplicate charge. I contacted the Hire A Helper customer support center and they explained that I had 2 separate job orders. They then stated that the movers said they spent an extra hour and 15 minutes on the job so, the company planned to deduct that additional charge from the refund due me. I had to forward video from my home door camera to resolve the issue & receive my refund!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone!!!

They arrived earlier than the agreed upon service window, which was great! Mark G. and his co- worker were very pleasant and courteous. They were efficient and knowledgeable regarding packing the pod and moving the furniture. I would definitely recommend them to others.

The movers did a awesome job but the owner lies to customers and employees. I let the movers go a hour early and didn't know of any policy about no refund for unused time. So I ask the owner if the two movers could get $30 each as a tip he told me yes of course and when the movers called about the money he told them he refunded me. Apparently they need money. So they got it but I won't be recommending or use his company ever again. That's how you lose a customer!!!

I have moved across country 14 times and 9 times within the city that I was living in and I've never experienced such unprofessionalism and unpreparedness. My contract and time was 9:00 a.m. from 10:50 a.m. till 1:31 p.m. I kept being told they'll be there in 10 minutes they'll be there in 10 minutes only to have the crew show up and say man we got our schedules last night you were always on the schedule for 1:00 p.m. although the moving team was nice they were very inexperienced they brought no tools nothing to strap my things down and didn't fit everything in and just left what they couldn't fit in my garage. So all of my items are in a pod not protected or strapped down and making a 300 mi journey I expect to receive nothing in good shape. I witnessed one of them dragging my sleep number mattress across the driveway and they tried to blame my friend who came over to help which was not the truth. The owner did give me a one hour refund and I did advise him that once the pot is opened here by the moving team I will be taking photographs and letting him know what is damaged. Unfortunately I would never use them and never recommend them to anyone. I know he's a small business owner and that makes me sad to say but it's the truth!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Jon's Friendly Movers provides the customer with clear communication on the date, time and location for the move. We walk you through each step of the move and will recommend an appropriate time expectation, size of truck and number of staff that is needed to facilitate the move. We answer all questions so that the customers feels comfortable.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We will arrive on-time , if not early, and in uniform to begin the moving process. Jon's Friendly Movers communicates time expectations, asks for clarity, if needed, and handles the details so you do not have too.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Jon's Friendly Movers provides tips and information in order to help the moving day run smoothly. We think of the things you may not be aware of since friendly moving is what we offer. For example, we recommend the customer keeps a running list of what needs to be done, to obtain any packing supplies if needed, to have your phone charged (the charger may get packed), to leave out some basic cleaning supplies and to be prepared to do one last walk through to make sure nothing gets left behind.

Jon's Friendly Movers does local, long-distance and office moves. We offer loading / unloading from house to house, house to storage unit, moving offices and relocation across states.
