Good Guy Movers was awesome! I have never used a professional moving company and will never move again without one. Joey was extremely friendly, organized and knowledgeable. He and his team had tremendous attention to detail, ensuring all my furniture was wrapped properly to avoid damage and they took great care while moving everything. They also packed away the furniture very efficiently to ensure I had room for additional items after they left. I would recommend Good Guy Movers to anyone who is moving.

Good Guy Movers was so good to me, from the initial hiring for the job through its completion. I originally planned to use them for a move about 7 weeks in the future. However, my circumstances changed and I needed help getting my Relocubes loaded much sooner - in the next week or so. Joey from Good Guy Movers was so helpful every time I spoke to him on the phone, and they were very flexible and responsive. By the time the big day came, two excellent loaders arrived on time and very impressively loaded my Relocubes completely full, with no space to spare! They clearly knew how to best fit things from boxes to couches and chairs to oddly-shaped kids toys. I couldn't have pulled off this move without them, and would highly recommend them to save you the time and hassle of doing it yourself!

I was called earlier in the day to see if arrival time had to be adjusted. The movers arrived at the appointed time. They worked quickly and efficiently and completed the job in the allotted time. They were thoughtful, courteous and professional. I would definitely hire this crew again!

Joey and his Team were amazing. First, I had seamless communication via text and phone in the week leading up to our move. Joey always answered my questions about best practices around packing. Second, on the day of the move, he called me to say that after reviewing my job and seeing that we had three flights of stairs, he recommended a third helper who he’d provide at their hourly rate which was a steal at $15/hr. As you know, moving day itself is super stressful. These guys were a force of calm presence throughout. They arrived on time, surveyed the job, and got right to work. They treated every box, bureau, and bookcase like it was a precious China set. I’m serious. These guys were like gentle giants. And Alex, the crew head packing the POD was a total maestro. I could not believe his efficiency in terms of packing the pod. Not only was the experience totally professional, my wife and I came away with a sense of deep gratitude for the service we received and the team spirit they exuded. Which is to say, they were on our team on every level. In the midst of all the chaos, they deftly and kindly navigated our 4yo daughter.

I had high hopes for the folks at Good Guy Movers based on other reviews, however the service did not meet the expectations set forth.
The positives: on-time, efficient.
The negatives: not prepared with any tools, rope, or plastic wrap, which I was told they would have when I spoke to someone on the phone. Additionally, there was a piece of furniture that did not fit down the stairs and I was told they wouldn't be able to take it apart because it was IKEA, that was not relayed to me upon booking the movers. So I was left to attempt to disassemble the shelving unit in the middle of a move. Finally, the lack of communication with between the movers and myself, they were more concerned with moving quickly than making sure I was comfortable with the placement of certain boxes within the POD (which I needed due to the nature of this move).
So in the end, I appreciate their efficiency at being able to complete a one bedroom city apartment move in Boston in just under two hours, but I was disappointed with the quality of the overall move.
