I went thru Hire A Helper to get this company to help me load my POD. I booked 4 hrs, however, the movers only took 2 hrs and told me there would be no refund on the unused time. I had to escalate my refund request to several people at Hire A Helper before getting some satisfaction with a partial refund. As for the actual movers, they showed up with no company name/uniform shirts (as it states they would on their website). Let me back up and say that I called 6 weeks in advance of my move to ask questions about the number of PODS I would need for my move. I was told to text pics of my belongs that would go in the PODS which I did and they never got back to me to give me an estimate of the # of PODS i would need or the hours that it would take. Subsequently, I called 3 more times within a 5 week period and got no response other than "give me 45 mins and I'll get back to you". That never happened. When the guys arrived to load my things into the POD, they didn't have the tools to unassemble my futon (nothing special about it), they rushed packing and I'm not convinced that my POD was packed properly and my furniture won't be damaged. When they were done, there was no walk thru to see if there was anything else that needed to go into the POD...they really weren't trying to do too much more. I could tell that they wanted to make a 4hr job into a 2hr job and pocket the 2 extra hours. To top things off, they tried to pressure me into completing a survey once I signed off on the amount owed. They actually stood there and said it was mandatory for me to complete the survey, "you can just hit 5 stars and your done". I thought this was ridiculous. They put their manager on the phone and he reiterated the same....complete the survey. I refused and finally they left. This service was not cheap. The movers never showed any ID rom the company, no shirts with logos or anything. They looked as if they just walked off the street. Nothing about them looked professional including the out of state Altima they arrived in. Did they get my furniture in the POD in record time? Yes, but do I believe it was packed properly so that I won't incur damages during shipment....NO. When my PODS driver came to pick up the POD,, he looked at the packing job and didn't feel as though my belongings were as secure as they should have been. I had purchased CAT Rachette Tiedowns and PODS instructs you to use approx. 6 per POD. They put 1 on at the end and said it was for my "peace of mind" when I asked why they hadn't used all that I had provided. The PODS driver had to help me secure another Tiedown on my belongings prior to him putting the POD on the truck. I was mortified at having paid for 4hours worth of work that was done in just under 2 hrs and not done properly. I would never recommend this company for loading a POD, let alone moving anything. A total rip off, rush job and bullying into filling out a survey which obviously gets them an incentive and more importantly their 4.8 ratings because most people aren't going to rate a company low when the employee is standing over them insisting that you complete the survey. That's manipulation to get ratings, that aren't warranted.

An Immediate interaction with an Ox and Bull associate after a booking has come in would be in order to set up the specifics for task at hand.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Moving day will be the easiest of the process, scheduling, logistics, specifics already been handled. All that’s left is to perform and execute! No stress for customer.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
The more prep on customer end the quicker process on labor side. Prefer beds and appliances to be broken down and unhooked. But if not it’s ok it just will be more time consuming

Local [yes] long distance [yes] commercial [yes] dorm room relocation [collegiate living - whole dorm]
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Nothing favorable about moving, I look at it as a physical workout but my reason for getting up daily is because what I do with ease, may not feel like a breeze to others. And seeing customer satisfaction at end of task knowing that they would still be huffing around if not for my help does wonders to my spirit! Taking stress off others without putting stress on myself is a major win for me.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All my crewmen go threw a process of two weeks with me shadowing the job before I let them loose to join already seasoned crews
