The 2 guys did a great job. They were very polite and professional. I couldn’t believe how efficiently they moved and placed everything in the pod. I would definitely request them again.

TLDR:
They didn't seem interested in getting the job done, which for a moving company is insane. Let me put it this way: Nearly everything was packed, ready to go, and entirely planned out. It was as small and easy a move as possible. If it had been me and 2 of my 40+yo friends we would have been done with this in less than an hr. Alone I could have managed it in 2 if you exclude things like cleaning. It took the 3 of us about 2.5hrs, I did a bunch of the moving myself, and had to start specifically telling them to start, y'know, actually _moving_ things to the truck. If I hadn't done that, I'm quite certain I would have been stuck with all my stuff moved 10-15' into hallways and left there like some of the other nightmare reviews. Would I go with them again or recommend them? Nope. Not sure how they have so many positive reviews.
Full Story:
I had to move out of a small studio aptmt, drive 120mi, load more stuff from the house primarily by myself, sleep, drive 1000mi, sleep, unload the whole thing entirely myself. At the aptmt I had very little furniture, but I did have 1 item that needed 2 ppl and a queen mattress that would be difficult solo. Because of those 2 items, and really just to save my back from being in pain while driving all those miles I hired this company to do the hard work for me at the aptmt. Only they didn't.
First off, they arrived late.
They divided the work to have one guy at the bottom of the elevator taking things out and theoretically packing the truck, the other guy moved things from my aptmt to the hallway outside the elevator on the 4th floor. The guy at the bottom was taking his time. Worse, because he was slacking so much, the pro guy at the top started using the other elevator. This brilliant idea forced everyone in the building to take the stairs. There are old ppl living there. All this infuriated my neighbors; they complained; the building mngr yelled at the movers.
Oblivious in my aptmt I was doing light stuff like dismantling my bed frame. 1hr+ into the move I discovered nothing was done. At least 1/2 my stuff had simply moved about 10' from my aptmt to the hallway. Downstairs maybe another 1/4 of my stuff was still in one of the elevators or in the hallway there. I had helped pack that elevator load earlier and all this time later the same load was still mostly in the elevator. I seriously couldn't believe it. The guy must literally have just been pretending to move stuff while nobody was around to yell at him.
I grabbed an armload to take to the truck where I found a very tightly packed wall of boxes that I instantly surmised would never stay in place over a 1000mi trip. They chose to put the mattress behind the box wall instead of saving it off to the side to hold the boxes in. It was stupid, but w/e.
I was more upset that the pro guy was now just standing in the truck thinking really hard about how to reorganize that box wall to be a just tad more perfect. I kept bringing loads to the truck, but soon realized he was avoiding work. I assume he considered that the ground floor guy's job and didn't want to pick up the slack for him. It was <30min left and most of my stuff was still sitting in hallways including the 1 piece of furniture that required 2 ppl. I took over organization duty and told pro what would really help would be for him to go get stuff from the hallway and bring it to the truck. He resisted, and repeatedly tried to chat organization. I finally said, "I don't care. Just get stuff moved."
They got going a bit, but still weren't moving fast enough so I started running loads with them. Slacker guy finally started keeping up with my pace. As the turn of the hr was approaching I was getting text messages asking me if I wanted to pay for an extra hr. "Pay them for _another_ hr of barely working? Hell no." There were only a few mins left on the clock. Pro guy was trying to get me to sign his phone releasing him a bit early. I say something like, "You guys are clocking out soon. Let's get as much done as possible before you leave..." (and screw me).
I was always polite to these guys, so I think it was only then pro guy realized how pissed I was. I just paid all this money for 2 guys to arrive late, move just the boxes which were the easiest part, make a mess, pissed off the building mngr, and who were about to stick me with all the hard work. They were basically no help at all and had ruined my time table. No joke, I would've been better off w/o them. So pro guy runs off to talk to his mngr who I now learn the whole time had been sitting in his car nearby, and comes back to tell me that his company has a policy to stay an extra 1/2 hr for free because they're very concerned about getting the job done.
Which they did. Better late than never. And that is the only reason they get 2 stars. Ofc, it wasn't until I had opted not to pay them more that they started caring about finishing.
PS: The box wall fell in the first leg.
