I thought long and hard about how to review our experience with JC Movers. To be fair, we weren't as prepared as we could have been...but this wasn't an awesome service.
In my opinion, they were slow. We booked 4 helpers for 4 hours. They were at our house for almost 8 hours to load 2 pods and a 15ft Uhaul. I knew we'd probably go over by a little but not by 4 hours. They also had 2 inexperienced younger gentlemen that helped. I watched one of them wrap an end table for 15 minutes. There was also a lot of aimless walking, texting and other distractions to kill even more time. The texting was a big problem. I couldn't be everywhere in the house at once but it was awesome when I walked into a room and one of them was standing there, doing nothing, texting or playing on their phone.
They made some heavy marks in the paint coming down the stairs and hallways. All of which had to be repainted after they left.
It's been about 2 weeks. We had movers at our destination help us unload today. Their comments on the packing were pretty eye opening. They were unimpressed. It was fun discovering boxes that said "DO NOT STACK" and "FRAGILE" at the very bottom of a stack of boxes.
Would I hire them again...probably not. However, I'm not really sure that this industry has any standout companies. I know that having "uniformed helpers" is supposed to be a plus but I don't think it matters one bit. The company we used to unload was rag tag but they were quick, efficient and left our house without me having to repair anything.

Daryl and his crew, Kentrell and Quint were fantastic. Not only did they do a great job but were fun to be around. Daryl seems to be a master mind in filling every space possible in the pod. They were on time and prepared to work.

The two movers were nice young men but very young. I ended up giving more direction than I should have needed to. I bought them lunch and tipped them just the same. There were times when one mover should have asked for help from his co-worker when handler larger pieces.

Jabari and Clabe were AWESOME. Once they arrived and reviewed the work required, they went to work right away and completed a lot more than I expected we would get done. They were professional, fast and extremely careful with my home and property - I highly recommend them.

JC Movers were terrific! They did a great job in taking care of my property. They were on time, brought along extra wrap and tape to properly wrap furniture. They worked very hard - they had to maneuver everything down a flight of stairs, so many times. I would definitely recommend and use them again. Thanks, guys!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
A followed up phone to introduce our Move Coordinator and an opportunity to discuss the details of the move and any special instructions on the date of service. We will also call the day before to confirm the order is still scheduled as planned.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Our trained and skilled crew will follow up with an introduction call from the morning of the job to confirm all needed material and tools that are needed with and estimated arrival time. As well as 15 minutes before arriving the crew will call the customer so the customer is prepared for their arrival.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Please remove all items from the dresser drawers to avoid any values being misplaced or any fragile items being damaged. Have all boxes labeled and sealed (fragile, Kitchen, bob's room, etc.). Please have all pets confined to one area during the move. Please don't book a family outing or event on the same day as move day because unexpected situations occur beyond our control.

We have handled a variety type of moves from (loca, long distance, Office Moves, college moves, In-house moves, and evictions.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The opportunity to meet and greet new people from all walks of life such as different religions, corporate america, famous, etc. The ability to learn from each of them and open my mind to new things in life.
