I scheduled these movers to arrive between 12-4 pm, but when I hadn't heard from them by 3:45, I called to check in. The woman who answered said she'd get a hold of the crew and have them call me with an ETA. When they called, I couldn't clearly understand them, and they couldn't give me more than a guesstimate as to their ETA when I asked when they'd be here. I did get a rough "45 minutes" from the woman I spoke to. 2 men showed up around 5:30, and then a few more by 6. (Yes, they sent me 5 guys when I only hired 4, and I had to pay for his overtime even!) We hired them for 6 hours. 6 pm-Midnight?! Had I figured it'd really take that long, I would have told them to reschedule.

Come to find out, their truck needed repair & it held them up. AND for a couple of them, our job was their THIRD one of the day!!!!! Those couple of poor men put in over a 20 hour day!!!! Needless to say . . . our desk was broken, our over 400+ lb. gun safe fell out the front door and onto the concrete sidewalk, so many pieces of furniture dropped, numerous walls were unnecessarily marked up (yes, I expect some dings & scratches . . .) and pieces of furniture scattered among the loads. I.E. The canopy of my bed and shelves of bookcases are displaced so far from one another in my storage containers! :( I'm afraid for the day we unload once we find a new house!

Their crew didn't finish loading our house into the storage containers until after 2 am!!! I'm not certain as to the exact time, because I couldn't hang in there that long. My husband stayed to close up. Some of the young teenagers with them had to even drive another couple of hours to get to their vehicle and home! I would have never hired such tired people. Their supervisor/scheduler/owner did their company a disservice by overworking some of them. It could've been more productive than it was had they not started so late.

I was completely disappointed. Completely. And definitely hopeful to find someone better for my move into a new home.

They were efficient & courteous. They did arrive hours late but they were waiting for the other 2 guys to finish a job. They decided to come with 2 guys to unload when others couldn't so I was thankful that they came. My only complaint is since they had to wait for the other two guys to show up and never did they didn't get everything done that I needed to have done. I hired four people for 4 hours maybe with the thinking of an extra hour. because it was only two of them I still have things I didn't get done like the trampoline to put together, the basketball hoop didn't get put together, 1 mirror on a dresser dint go on & they didn't have time to fix the entertainment center. Now I have to hire help again to finish up, they did refund me the difference of the two guys but it's going to cost me a lot more to get other guys out here to finish up things that were undone. Just feeling frustrated.

We try to factor in delays, unfortunately, it's difficult to plan for the unexpected. We were willing to return to complete the items and we reimbursed for the other 2 guys not being able to make it. We had truly excellent, efficient service from J.C.Movers, the crew of Antoine & Victor. Both were very professional & experienced, knowing exactly what to do and how to organize the loading of the POD we had here to be filled and shipped. They were careful of the furniture and boxes to be moved and their performance was beyond expectations. Loaded up in jig-time, with everything well secured. The two workers were on time and were prepared for the job. They were there for less than two hours and I think that for the work they did, I was over charged. The workers could have been more respectful of my property and goods. There were gouges left on the hallway wall and on the trim of the sliding glass door and they didn't tell us about them. The gouges were so bad we had to have them fixed. They left liter of gum and gum wrappers on our front lawn and one worker was even smoking a cigarette while trying to move our furniture. I had no choice, I had to use this company because all of the other good companies were booked. I will not be using their services ever again. I hope this review helps someone else in making their decision to hire. I wish I would of had a better experience.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

A followed up phone to introduce our Move Coordinator and an opportunity to discuss the details of the move and any special instructions on the date of service. We will also call the day before to confirm the order is still scheduled as planned.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Our trained and skilled crew will follow up with an introduction call from the morning of the job to confirm all needed material and tools that are needed with and estimated arrival time. As well as 15 minutes before arriving the crew will call the customer so the customer is prepared for their arrival.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Please remove all items from the dresser drawers to avoid any values being misplaced or any fragile items being damaged. Have all boxes labeled and sealed (fragile, Kitchen, bob's room, etc.). Please have all pets confined to one area during the move. Please don't book a family outing or event on the same day as move day because unexpected situations occur beyond our control.

We have handled a variety type of moves from (loca, long distance, Office Moves, college moves, In-house moves, and evictions.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

The opportunity to meet and greet new people from all walks of life such as different religions, corporate america, famous, etc. The ability to learn from each of them and open my mind to new things in life.
