Very disappointed in the services we were provided. We have used Texas top tier movers before for unloading and they did a great job but this time around it was not a good experience. First of all they were late. Then when they showed up the workers smelled like smoke and marijuana. That was not an issue for us if the job would have been completed. Usually movers have experience to tell you ahead of time how long the job will take. We had mentioned the size of our house, we need disassembly, and wrapping. They did not bring any tools with them. As the time was ending they said they can only stay one hour extra. This again was most likely since they showed up late. We were abandoned when only half hour worth of packing was left into our pod. We had to pay $740 dollars to finish that last hour of packing by a separate company. This by the way was a three man team.

Texas Top Tier Movers: The problem I had was two address pickups which had to be booked separately. The week leading up to the move I tried repeatedly to contact the Manager Rene with no success. So, it was a wait and see if someone showed.
An hour before the arrive time I heard from the two gentleman that was assigned to help us move. THEN everything went quickly and smoothly for both address pickups.
If you can, you should ask for Alonzo and Marcus as your helpers. These two were GREAT. They were able to get me the answers to my questions, they arrived on time and moved us in record timing. Professional, Respectful, not a wall was bumped, a boxed dropped and they made sure to secure the load. I was very grateful for their service.

1. When the 2 movers arrived, they came in a car. There was no indication that they were the movers. So, I waited until they actually mentioned my move details so I can validate.
2. They came in with no tools.
3. It was a pre-paid package for 5 hours and they were taking their own time, chasing a bee, playing basketball, taking breaks, repeatedly asking me if this was going or that was going, even though I did the walkthrough. I was so stressed out about the time.
4. While moving washer/dryer, I kept hearing loud noises. They then asked us if we had any gloves they can borrow. I asked surprisingly why they wouldn't carry a pair of gloves as movers. No response to that, but they said, they need us to give them gloves so they don't damage the equipment & the walls. So, we had to provide them with our biking & winter gloves that we had.
5. I had mentioned during the order that I needed to disassemble the bed & dining table. However, they came in with no tools. They ended up using the little drill kit that I had.
6. Traditionally, I have seen movers bring their own tape, but they had to use what's left of mine (to wrap the glass table), and the TV's and other glass stuff didn't end up having tap on their wraps.
7. My move involved loading furniture and boxes into a Pod. Within the initial walkthrough, they said the Pod wasn't going to be enough. So, I asked them to prioritize it with furniture and then fill it up with boxes. At the end of it, it was only furniture in the pod, and no boxes. When we were about to close the Pod, I asked if it all safely packed inside, and he says "honestly, no. It's all loose inside. If you have rope, we can tighten it up". Again, I did not know I need to keep rope ready. If he did, why didn't they have it? Second, why didn't they fill it up with boxes so it's tightly packed? Now I'm worried, some of that stuff will be damaged by the time we open it.
Overall, a move is generally stressful. And it adds to the stress and anxiety when the movers are NOT professional.
Rene was great at customer service. The service (move) done today did not represent the quality of conversations I had with him. Super disappointed.

The truck was loaded horribly. Some of my furniture is so scratched up and my tv. I really thought the guys were going to do a good job. I noticed, before the door was closed on the truck, they had stacked items in a way that as soon as I were to step on the gas, many items would have come crashing down on other items. As they were trying to get my sofa out of the apartment, they mutilated the corner of the wall by slamming the sofa into it without care. I will never use this company again. I’ll probably be billed for the damage to the wall and several pieces of my furniture are all scratched up.

On moving day you can expect... * updates on arrival times. *Movers will show up on time with positive attitudes ready to see your move through.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
To ensure you get the most out of your moving experience we recommend: *Packing all small/ loose items. *Label all fragile boxes (Preferably on multiple sides) *Emptying out dressers/hutches. (Doing so helps prevents damage) *Provide or request moving blankets to protect furniture. *Provide or request ropes or straps. (to stabilize with)
What types of moves have you handled?
Our crew has handled moves of all calibers from simple rearrangements to short term moves to multi-stop moves to long distance moves. We have dealt with: *moving an individual into a studio apartment *families into their first homes *Moves in mansions/ large estates (largest to date is 80 acre property!) *Medical and business offices, Restaurants, gyms.

As movers our favorite part of the move is the relief, instilled confidence and joy we bring our clients when they see that they are in good hands. There are tons of reasons why moves are stressful, we're glad we can do our part to make the loading and unloading portions the easy part for you!
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members are required to undergo our "rookie-vet" training. Our "rookies" are required to join one of our seasoned crews. During this time learning moving techniques and ideologies is their main focus while assisting our "vets". -Side note: When you see an extra mover on the job don't worry, there is no additional cost to you!
