They were on time and very helpful. Everything came into the house in the same condition it came off the truck. Even when we realized we needed help moving a piece of furniture that was already in the house in order to bring the new stuff in, the guys were more than willing to help.
They were friendly and fast. The movers themselves were some of the best I've ever hired.
Their manager called a few too many times to confirm for my taste, but some people may be comforted by that, so I don't know that it really counts against them.

Very hard-working, professional movers. They were on time & worked efficiently moving during a VERY hot day to get the job done quickly. They were also available on very short notice. I would use H & M again anyday.

Manny and his team worked energetically and consistently during a record heat wave and packed the truck in an amazing, interlocking manner, correcting our mistake of loading some boxes the previous few days. They handled the confusion of packing only 3/4 of the house contents, even when we remembered additional items that were left out of the initial plan. We would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to friends & family.

The movers helped me unload my truck. They were couteous, quick, and organized. Some items had been damaged during the packing stage (which they were not involved in), and they pointed out the damage before touching the items. The job took less time then I had booked, and so I asked the guys to help me assemble my bed, and they did a good job. The office was a little confused about the pricing when the job was booked through Hire a Helper, so I definately recommend printing out the receipt breakdown before calling. The office did call and confirm the job the day before the move, which was reassuring, because I knew they would show up.

I waited until I reached my destination before responding in order to determine if the packing of the truck was done well enough that my household goods came through our cross country trip unscathed. The loading and packing of the truck was done very well. There was some rubbing of surfaces that resulted in some limited furniture finish damage. We had a lot of china which we box packed our selves. These boxes came through unscathed with no obvious damage to the boxes. My only minor criticism would be for them to use more furniture pads. I had 36 which they used 24 of.
They were on time, courteous, and worked with me when my truck rental company did not have my trucks ready on time and the schedule had to be adjusted.
Overall the work was very professionally done and I would recommend them to others.

Our team of two arrived early, worked efficiently and packed the truck beautifully -- not a thing budged during the drive. (One thing to note -- we needed the help in central Jersey, and they said in general they won't do only a two-hour job; they made an exception for me.) I've already recommended them to a family friend.

secure their pets before the move , have a plan if they have young children so as not to be in the way of the movers while the move is in process(Safety Reasons),also secure their immediate personal belongings such as keys, phones, etc. so that they are not misplaced
