Do not choose this service. I booked 2 helpers for 2 hours and ended up only having one helper show up, while he did an excellent job, the entire team at Hire a Helper were entirely unresponsive to my follow up emails and texts about the second helper and I ended up moving as much as the helper did with my broken ankle and tweaked back. In response to my comments around the second helper, Hire a helper *graciously* deducted $100 off of the service.
Now I understand B2C businesses and the value they add, however, I came to learn that the helper that was actually physically helping me was receiving 31% of my total payment ($60/$189) and that that remaining 69% was being paid to two different levels of businesses that actually added zero value or assistance. Further, I was under the impression that the helper that was assisting me was a certified or at least insured helper, however, I came to learn that he was simply a part-time contract worker with no real moving experience.
Overall, horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and find a locally owned business in which you recieve proper help and are not simply filling the pockets of a removed, apathetic management team.

They were on time and worked hard. They are very respectful of property and got everything moved and stored in the time I had reserved. This is the second time I have used them and will definitely use them again when I am ready to move everything out of storage!

Great team--Chris and Mark. I needed help on the same day as my other helpers had to cancel. They came exactly on time, they were professional and HELPFUL, very careful, and made sure everything was where I wanted it. Mindful, friendly, just terrific.

The situation we were moving under was a difficult one. The two men that came to assist us for a couple of hours were amazing. They were careful, they were very conscientious and knowledgeable and were able to get a lot done in a little time. We would have not accomplished what we did without the team sent to help.
