Nathan was very considerate. All three were extremely polite. My only complaint is that I like boxes packed so that they close completely as I believe that they load better and if a box had an item sticking up, they just bent the flap and shrink wrapped it. That could be standard for the work, it's just not how I would have done it.
They checked with me throughout the process and got everything packed that I asked.

We booked Smooth Movers for a Saturday morning. The two workers arrived late because they stopped to help someone that had an accident. That was the right thing to do and I didn't mind that but we were charged the 15 minutes when they weren't there yet. Two people came to load our moving truck. One person (Jimmy) carried everything from the apartment to the truck and one person (MJ) stayed downstairs to put things in the truck. Jimmy was very efficient and moved quickly but we couldn't see MJ because he was downstairs at/in the truck. We booked them for two hours but needed more time and we were able to pay for another hour. Everything seemed fine until we went to the truck later to add a few last minute items. When we opened the back we were shocked at how it was packed. An extremely heavy headboard, bedframe and king sized mattress were piled on top of a glass coffee table, baby swing and bassinet, glass floor lamp, etc. Nothing had padding or any kind of rope to secure it. Everything looked like it was thrown in with no organization or care for our possessions. We called the company immediately and talked to the owner (Nathaniel) and tried to come to a solution. He said we could fill out a damage claim if necessary. That doesn't fix the problem! My husband runs his own company and we told Nathaniel that if something wasn't right he would go and make it right with no questions asked. We were promised a call back that didn't come. We started calling the office but at that point it was after hours. We finally got someone that had already left for the day but she promised to do what she could. I don't know what we would have done without her. I'm sorry that I don't remember her name but she was very professional and over the top helpful. at 8:30 that evening we finally had a response from the owner that he was on his way. He came with MJ, the original worker from that day, to look at the load in the truck. He was immediately embarrassed and apologized. He and MJ immediately unloaded the truck onto the street and started reloading everything correctly. I was asked to go to the nearby Walmart and buy them some rope. It was after 10 PM when we finally closed that truck up. It was a horrible experience that could have been avoided if the workers were trained properly and if they had come with the proper equipment to do the job.
