I am very disappointed with the service that received from Bay Area Movers.
We have never moved from one state to another and believe the truck company that the size truck we had rented was the right size. The two gentlemen (very nice by the way) made comments that they weren't sure if everything would fit and then told us they would make it fit. At the end of the day we had to drive to Merced to pick up a 6x12' trailer from uHaul to bring pack the remaining items ourselves. If they would have just told us that the truck was too small we could have saved ourselves one day delay and the hassle of driving to multiple uHaul locations trying to find the last trailer available anywhere near our home. Then we get to Washington state and find that plastic bins are broken large scratches and pieces of wood have have destroyed our furniture. Not happy at all, we would have been better off saving the money and packing ourselves. I also wish we would have never tipped them.

The movers (sorry! I’m very bad at remembering names) arrived within the requested time frame and immediately started my move. They worked efficiently and all my valuables were transferred over to the other unit without a hitch. I plan on booking with Bay Area Movers again when I move back to my original unit - once remodeling is complete.

Gabe and Daniel were on-time, professional, experienced, and great at their job. They were great problem solvers are some of the most expert tetris players in the business- I still don't know how they managed to pack all of our contents into the U-haul rental. Thanks gents!

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We show up in uniform, ready to work. We come with the equipment needed to move your items around. We go over paperwork and do a walk through to get a idea of the layout. Then we get to work.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
For a smooth productive moving day we reccomend: Finish packing before moving day( If you didn't get Full service) Label the boxes with their intended destination. Always tell the movers or label the box clearly if something is fragile. Make sure they have easy, hassle-free access. Don’t pack heavy items in large boxes. Empty your drawers, armoires, and desks.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled a wide range of moves including local, long distance moves, offices/ commercial moves and government/military moves. We have been to 44 states during our time doing long distance moves.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We have 2 favorite parts when it comes to moving. The 1st favorite is the providing solutions to someone during stressful and chaotic times. Secondly is the challenge of loading items, and the game of tetris that comes with it.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We train our movers on proper lifting techniques, proper loading techniques, and the many ways to protect furniture as well as protecting the floors, walls, and doorways of the house.
