Not very professional or careful with my stuff. It was a mindset of "how can we make the least amount of trips."
They stacked unreasonable amounts on the dolly and then dragged it down the steps, letting it hit each one.

Mover's response:

We have professional moving tools not home depot dollies. Our moving tools have stair gliders on them to make the most out of every trip plus our dollies are over 6 feet tall so yes we are going to maximize our loading of the dollies so we get you loaded in the time frame you want this done. A 3rd floor apartment is 43 stairs up and 43 stairs down you want us to maximize each carry instead of box by box we would be there all day.
3rd floor condo 3 bedroom loaded in 2hours no damage. Thank you

The guys made quick work of loading the truck. However, they were two hours late getting there. We still had to pay for the four hours we had booked.

If i were asked to refer moving labor helpers, i would probably recommend copperstate, but i will never use hire-a-helper again. This service made a mess of another move i had and their customer service rep was rude.

Mover's response:

We notified you the day you booked your move and explained that your move was not going to be able to fall in the time slot you requested due to the busyness of labor day weekend which you stated was completely fine you changed your order at the last moment and wanted us to only load your storage not your apartment due to you splitting up your move. We block our day accordingly for you requested time there for we will not accept any work in that time zone due to that there is a loss of business

One person came 1hr and 15min late and they did not pack our furniture correctly and left out the key items from our POD. There was more than enough room to pack everything, but they did not use the space accordingly and instead of stopping and thinking, they left leaving some key items of furniture un packed. Example, they packed a table and left the chairs. They put the bedroom set but left out the night stand. This exact same furniture was delivered with the same POD that was being used to move again. They were told that they were doing a bad job, yet they said do not worry it will all fit. At the end, they left saying that we need to rent a uhaul for the rest of the furniture.

I'm very sorry about your moving experience but we never loaded your container. We where the unloading team.

Extremely nice and helpful. The men were experienced and helped us realize we did not have enough truck to get the job done. They packed largely well, except for a stacking issue on our dining room table which caused it to buckle. For that, I am going to have to make a claim.

Mover's response:

In regards to your table you where advised for space issues it would be in the moves best intrest to have the table disassembled so we can utilize space and properly load your household but you insisted on leaving it as is and loading on top of it but we still do not see where it could of buckled because the table weighed 200-300 lbs and light boxes where placed on top with appropriate protection throughout.
Note: Customer never called the office our insurance about this matter as of 8/14/2014

We were imformed that we would need 2 movers to fill 2 pods for 4 hours. We hired 3 guys and it took them 4 hours to fill 1 pod. They were on their cell phones and smoking every time we walked out side. They also gathered in a group to chit chat and decide how to fill the pod. We had to pay them an additional 85.00 for another hour of help and my husband an I were working harder than the guys to fill the second pod. We were very disappointed with the helpers and the misleading info we got about filling the pods id a timely manner.

When you go into a storage container with this size of a home it's going to take time this is due to the limits of the unit in turn we must get very methodical on our loading otherwise it's not all going to fit On this particular move a 5 bedroom two story home with all appliances going plus a slate pool table 5 bedrooms of furniture and garage plus backyard furniture you can start to get the picture it's going to take time As for you and your husband loading that is false putting a few items in
