Knoxville Mover Reviews
The 2 guys did a great job! Both were on time and were very friendly and polite. All our goods made it to our new house safely with no issues. One of the workers even put our outdoor grill in the back of his personal truck as we ran out of room in my rental truck. Great Job!!
Both of the guys new there job and completed it quickly
Two young guys showed up on time and did a fantastic job. Hard working, polite, and very careful with the furniture. I have no complaints and would gladly use them again.
Men were early arriving at my location and were very polite. They worked together and finished quickly. I am very satisfied with their service.
Both gentlemen were on time. They were kind and very mannerly. They were very professional, and knew exactly what they were doing. They packed the moving container perfectly, efficiently and in a timely manner. Very hard working young men, and I would always tell people to use this company, because they knew how and exacting what they were doing. All in only 3 hours. Thank you. Fran Friedman
Great job... we're on time, very friendly and great effort. Highly recommend...

Real Advice from Knoxville Movers
We asked local movers about what you should know about moving in Knoxville. (They’re really nice!)
"The Uhaul of Hendersonville has the best customer service and is very organized. They always have a truck ready to go regardless of the size. I love using Uhauls for local moving but when I am moving a customer long distance I would recommend Penske. Penske is more expensive but is a very reliable truck and is regularly maintenanced. "
- Move It or Lose It"If you are moving to Knoxville and looking to rent a truck, I would highly recommend Penske. Penkse always has a large fleet of trucks and moving supplies on hand. Knoxville is an easy town to navigate, even with a large moving truck, and it's a great place to live and work!"

Major Neighborhoods in Knoxville
Even if the title of state capital belongs to another city nowadays, Knoxville is still as interesting and lively a place to live as any major metro. Much of that can be attributed to the University of Tennessee, which provides research, a huge student population, and talented athletes to watch. The area is home to some beautiful nature, and you can get a great view of it via the Tennessee River, especially if you travel by boat like the Star of Knoxville. Or you could get a bird's eye view from the iconic Sunsphere's observation deck — something every resident and visitor should experience at least once. Whether you're settling here for school, work, or a fresh start, check out our list of local movers to help you settle into your new place.
Downtown Knoxville
As the city's major business district, Downtown Knoxville is always abuzz. There are over 100 shops and restaurants in the area, as well as entertainment venues. One of the most iconic is the Bijou Theater, a historic site that's been around since the 1800s and still shows performances today. The area is also home to the Knoxville Museum of Art, showcasing artists in a unique pink marble building. With so many eateries around, you'll never run out of options — try A Dopo for sourdough pizza or cocktails at a bar with a uniquely whimsical vibe at Alice in Appalachia. But before you can dive into the food or fun at your new home, you need to get there first, and hiring local movers can help make the relocation process a breeze.
Old City
Despite the name, Old City isn't actually the city's oldest neighborhood, but because many of its historic buildings house music venues, breweries, restaurants, and shops, the area feels like a perfect marriage of the past and present. For example, The Emporium Center was built in 1898 and now hosts multiple galleries showcasing local artists. Blue Slip Winery uses the old railway station to brew wines made from locally grown grapes. But the live music scene is really the area's bread and butter, and you can catch an indie rock band or a live DJ at The Concourse, or listen to local bands play at the popular Scruffy City Hall venue. Whenever you decide to make Old City your new home, you’ll want to hire local movers to handle the logistics for you.
Bearden
Just west of downtown is Bearden, the perfect neighborhood for those who love to spend time outdoors. Lakeshore Park offers over 185 acres of green space, an arboretum, and great views of the Smoky Mountains. Of course, if you're the outdoorsy type, you'll need the gear for it — thankfully the area is home to the flagship store for River Sports Outfitters. And if your idea of adventure is trying anything new, check out The Boocherie, a sober bar that's all but guaranteed to have a drink you've never had before. The neighborhood's close to downtown, so it can get busy along Sutherland Avenue. If you want to avoid the worst of it when you relocate, hire local movers who know the streets to take when traffic is the worst.
South Knoxville
South Knoxville, AKA SoKno, is a neighborhood right next to the 1000-acre Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness. While that space is impressive with its hiking trails and nature preserves, that's by far not the only thing the area has to offer. Fly By Night is a 70s-themed cocktail bar, complete with a disco ball, paneled bar, and Pink Squirrels on the menu. There's also the whimsical Ancient Lore Village, a fantasy-themed getaway that hosts weddings, events, or you, if you want to spend a few nights living in a fairy tale. You also won't find something like the Candoro Marble Building anywhere else — it's pink! Sounds like the perfect fit? Then take some of the stress off by hiring local movers. Their know-how will make it a smooth and easy experience.

They were amazing. Despite having issues at the beginning they did an awesome job and were very friendly and polite. I would recommend them to everyone and would use them again. :)
Wow! These guys were great! Showed up early and were very polite. They knowledgeable and hard working I honestly couldn’t believe how fast they got it all done! . Very professional. Def not temp staff hobos… highly recommend and would use again.
The guys were amazing! Very friendly and hard workers. They finished up in under 2 hours unloading a 12 foot truck up 3 flights of stairs. Well worth the money!
The trucking company was a day late delivering the trailer. Moving Boys agreed to come the next day - after another move. The team was great, worked tirelessly. And carefully handled heavy and fragile items. The guys were great and we plan to use them again with another load.
The two men were on time and very hard working. They were so polite and friendly. They finished the whole move in 3/4 of the allotted time. TJ and Jonathan were fantastic workers! I HIGHLY recommend them!
The crew was on time and had the equipment required. They finished ahead of time. Worked with us to make sure everything was in the proper place and handled professionally. Yes, I would work with Christian Brothers again
Couldn’t ask for better gentlemen to help us on this move. Highly recommend them as they are very polite, friendly, hard working, God fearing gentlemen.
They were running late due to traffic but kept.me well up to date on their ETA, which was great. Two guys came ready to work and had my whole house cleared in an hour and a half. Pleasant but professional. Would absolutely use them again.

Had a great experience. The movers I had scheduled never showed up and we had our moving van and needed to get on the road. Within 3 hours they had a crew at my place and we were loaded and on the road in an hour and an half. Super professional, courteous and personable.
Dan and Richard from Bend Lift and Move showed up on time and brought all their necessary equipment to unload a buffet, hutch, dresser and some bookcases from the Penske truck I had rented. I could not have asked for a better or more professional experience.
