The level of disappointment we have from this experience is astounding!
This was one of the highest quotes we received. We thought "you get what you pay for" and chose them thinking we would get stellar service. The opposite was true. The guys who came to move us complained about the job (which was outlined in the quote), refused to move several things, packed the truck with only furniture and left every box we packed and every pillow to our sectional. They moved sooo slow and constantly complained like they weren't hired to move the contents of a house. In the end, we had to pay HUNDREDS more than the quote and still had to hire another moving crew to move the rest of our home. This was a nightmare. The next company came and could not believe the poor service we received. They assessed our furniture and boxes and said it was actually on the lighter side of a house move. They went on to say everything should have definitely fit in the 26' truck we reserved. The also said the first crew should have had NO PROBLEM moving the furniture AND the boxes. That's a normal move! Who schedules one crew to move furniture and another to move boxes? In the end, we paid more than double the original quote to get a second crew to fix the mess the first crew left. We are UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED with AJ Moving Company.
What I’d like to point out here is it’s so unfair to get a 1 star when these 2 guys did 8.5 hours, LOADED and UNLOADED a FULL 26’ truck (and I have photos from the crew from start to finish on this job and every job we perform) and this customer still needed another 16’ truck to haul the boxes and smaller items besides the full truck load we moved. You booked 2 movers to move a 3400 Sq ft single family home and when the movers got there in the morning and they started explaining everything you made them call us in the office to see if we had another crew and a truck to come help and unfortunately we didn’t and we advised you if we didn’t finish that day we would come back the next due to the amount of stuff you had. Bottom line, your estimate time and the amount of goods was WAY under and even HireAHelper advised you that this job needed 4 movers and a 26’ truck for up 12 hours and you still chose 2 movers and a 26’ truck. The crew was on time and worked fast. We had several large antique pieces that they handled with great care. The crew was also very considerate! They masked-up for the job and took care to fold up moving blankets and gather debris/plastic wrap.

I was not looking to spend too much on this move. I thought 4 hours should be more than enough, it was not and I ended up spending much more than I wanted. BUT it was worth every penny, the guys worked their tails off, it was none stop for 10 hours! I highly recommend this company and the team that moved me was on time and very helpful.
For me to write this review says a lot about how impressed I am of the work they did.

These movers are great! They communicated well before showing up, and when they arrived they quickly realized that all my furniture might not fit in the truck. What can a customer expect after booking with you?

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Phone call from the crew enroute with ETA.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Remove all valuables (money, jewelries, etc.) and medicine or medication. Label boxes for which room it is going to which will make everything a breeze in unloading.
What types of moves have you handled?
All of them. Local, long distance, office relocations, corporate relocations, military moves, special equipment/ special item moving (piano, pool tables, safes, antiques, memorable items)
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
Each job is different. There’s a never an identical house with the same items.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Teaching them on the most overlooked and common mistakes. How to cover delicate items, how to properly wrap each item. We have made several videos of wrapping items such as sofas, TV’s, bed sets, etc. and offer those videos for training.
