Working with HireAHelper and then The Moving Boys Labor Service was great! Good communications, clear estimates of cost, the crew (Brandon, Chester, and Walker) showed up prior to the appointment time, and the guys did a great job in 1.5 hours for 2 moving pods full of furniture, book boxes, and more. There was no breakage, they were smart about moving our things, and they were polite and respectful.
I recommend HireAHelper and The Moving Boys Service without reservation and would use them again. Great group, great service, great prices!

We had recently moved into a large 3-story home and I had several pieces of furniture that I decided I wanted moved to other areas of the home and I didn’t want my husband to break his back trying to do it by himself so I hired 2 workers for 2 hours through Hire A Helper. Rates are a little expensive but I figured it was worth it not to worry. Workers arrived about a half hour late (had trouble finding the house). Both workers were young but it was apparent one had more experience and was the senior of the two workers. After showing them the job (move a large sectional couch up one flight of stairs into a loft area, swap 2 bedroom sets out- had a large log furniture bed set upstairs and wanted it moved downstairs and so the bed set downstairs had to be moved upstairs).
The workers started with the couch and it was definitely a challenge for them getting it up the tight stairwell but they managed without breaking anything (small mark on the wall). Then the worker with more experience worked on taking apart the downstairs bed set while the one with less experience took apart the large log furniture set. They then helped each other swap the furniture and set about putting the bed sets back together. The problem arose when the less experienced worker did not remember how to put the log set back together. The other worker ended up helping him but they were almost out of time and asked if my husband would know how to reassemble the bed because the kid did not remeber how to... I told them he wouldn’t know anymore than them so they did their best to put it back together however, in the end it was very wobbly and unstable. My husband ended up going over the entire set and tightening everything up so it is much better. In the end, they worked hard and were very nice but I felt like I was racing against the clock the whole time (long bathroom breaks, etc just made me nervous). They got everything done and I appreciated the help even if it was expensive and not 100% put together right.

Bubba did an excellent job getting all of our stuff to fit in the truck space we had. His crew was polite, efficient, and worked very hard. They had to work 2 hours extra and never complained.
They were very careful with our furniture, we had no breakage or damage. I'd hire them again without hesitation!!

They showed up on time and steadily worked but one of the 2 was very inexperienced. They were very unorganized in placing furniture & boxes in the apt even tho things were labeled with specific tape stating what room. The furniture was just put in the living room & dinning room area along with a lot of boxes which took up a lot of time when it came to placing it where it needed to go. The one guys didn’t put the slates under the bed and I only noticed because cords were taped to the bottom of the bed and I had to have them take the mattresses off again. I’m afraid I would not use them again nor recommend them for any job .

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We will walk you through our process starting with a walk through of your home or business documenting with pictures the condition everything is in to ensure if any damages occur that you are covered with documentation. We start when we arrive, just as you would expect from and service provider.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure your pod,trailer, or truck is on site before we arrive. Please have all needed equipment available for our crew's, I.E. rope,straps,plastic wrap, blankets, ext. Please be aware that our crews will call the day of your move when heading to you with an eta.
What types of moves have you handled?
We service all need. In almost 2 decades of services we have done it all.

What training do you provide your crew members?
Our crews members are screened and trained hands-on by management before entering the field. Management consists of long-term employees that worked up our ranks from the bottom.

We accept next day requests at our normal rates.
